- Contains content not previously released in North America, including the optional superboss "Penance," the "Eternal Calm" video that bridges the gap between the two titles, the "Last Mission" dungeon with 20+ hours of battle and story, and bonus dresspheres and garment grids
Pretty sure they already said Eternal Calm wouldn't be in, so I would take all that with a truckload of salt.

Wouldn't they have to dub in for last mission? Unless it has no VA. It doesn't need voice I guess. Look at the 2nd half of Tales of Legendia. Or the latter half of Ni No Kuni. Though I wouldn't mind if they just used the Japanese voices.

Does anyone other then YRP appear in LM with voiced lines? Because those three actresses SE can re-hire quite easily.

I don't recall SE saying they wouldn't include Eternal Calm. I think it was just a rumor. Still, the fact that at least BB lists that piece of content specifically is quite encouraging.

Last Mission was the only thing where there was any sort of doubt of it's inclusion. I don't take this as confirmation yet of course but looking more likely perhaps.

Not as far as I remember.

Totally doable then. I was shocked they found Hedy Burress for Dissidia, but they did! Paine's actress is around, too and Tara Strong works constantly. She won an award for Rikku in X-2 specifically, I believe.

Some more information just popped up on Best Buy and Future Shop Canadian websites stating basically that all the additional content of the International versions will be included from the get-go in both games and not as DLC as was believed before.

Here are the links to the shops:

Found the news originally on Playstationlifestile but the site seems to be banned here, so I can't post a link.
Very, very happy for the inclusion of Last Mission if true. I imagine they got this text from a SE "promotion kit" to retailers.

I hope it's in, it needs to be in, I mean how hard could it be to fit that in?
I still have my copy and I'll play through it after X just to get the full experience if I have to. So, it isn't a big deal for me. Last Mission addition has sold me on this repurchase anyway though.

Well... it's a video. They'd have to either upscale or re-render it. Sounds like they can't be bothered to do either.

As much as I'd like this (or any HD port) to be "the definitive version", it doesn't look like it will be the case.

Glad the content looks to be there.
Still waiting on that vita info. They seem to be really quiet about it. Wouldn't be surprised if last minute they go "FFX/FFX-2 HD will only be available on PSN for 19.99 each"

It really doesn't though, honestly. Neither retailer is saying anything you couldn't assume from reading X/X-2's Wikipedia entry.

It's all doable, it's all probably there, it's still best to wait for explicit confirmation. (Probably E3. Someone will ask.)

I doubt big box retailers are doing any sort of research on these products. They are most likely just posting the information that was provided to them by the manufacturer.

Your voice changes over time and it's actually pretty hard to go to old characters and get the exact same voice.

That said I'm actually really looking forward to FFX-2, with new content that should be a lot more replayable than FFX.

These people do the same voices for upwards of thirty years if the characters are in use long enough. Yuna was in Dissidia 012. She sounds the samd way she does in FFX. The games are divorced by the better part of a decade.

You're thinking of a scenario like Young Robert De Niro vs Old Robert De Niro. Youre thinking of standard actors. I'm talking about career voice actors.

Eternal Calm got pretty heavily retconned in FFX-2. It's not part of the canon as far as I'm concerned.

FFX-2 International + Last Mission had an English dub in Japan. That was the thing with the "International" tag. They did the same thing for FFX International. Text was still in Japanese (FFX International included English as an option though).

Last Mission VA is in English already?

Last Mission included? Holy mother of based god.

Where are you hearing that? Nothing's been announced on that according to the OP.

Last Mission isn't, and it's pretty unlikely to get localized IMO. *MAYBE* as DLC if they can actually get the voice actors/translators to come back and then use DLC fees to pay for the new localization, but I strongly doubt it.

Why can't they just do subtitles? The game won't be complete without last mission.

Poor western players I've only been BLESSED† with playing Last Mission and not vile vanilla. I will pray at the altar of Kween Yuna for all of you

Today SE confirmed KH HD 1.5 Remix will release on September 10. That pretty much confirms we will see FF X/X-2 HD in stores from October onwards. My guess would be late November or early December.

I thought the same, but thats for the US, FFX HD will have a world wide release so im thinking it should come out earlier.

I agree, but it KH 1.5 is separate game releases and they were spread distance apart. in this case we have FFX HD coming out world wide. so maybe just maybe it'll come out before KH.

When they finally announce the release date, you are going to be disappointed.
