All hats exclusive for those that supported the IGG? The salt would be too delicious, but probably not going to happen. Labzero stands to benefit more if they have some exclusive items rewarded to IGG funders and also other TF2 items offered for post-IGG pre-orders.
This is my guess on how it will work:
Those who donated $30 and above during IGG, to reward those who helped the indie GO GO fund:
- Exclusive Leviathan and Big Band item
Those who pre-order Skullgirls in any form after IGG (Post-IGG such as Humble store and Steam) ($30 and above Igg funders get this too since it's retroactive):
- Regular item promos: Peacock item, Fillia item, other SG items (if there are more planned)
So basically:
Exclusive hats through kickstarters have been done before, Oculus Rift kickstarter gave out exclusive hats for those that helped donate. So it isn't out of the ordinary.
Plus there was that promise from LabZero to still try to get in those planned exclusives for IGG funders. So I think rewarding those who helped with IGG funding with some exclusives plus regular pre-order SG items would be the best way to reward IGG funders and profit out of those who pre-order later.
I think that would be the smart move, but I'm sure Ravidrath will divulge the pertinent information on how this all works when the time is near

They should give exclusive hats to everyone that would've gotten one originally so that there can be much salt from the people that asked for a refund just because hats weren't going to be a thing afterall.
After that, they should also give pre-order exclusive hats for the PC version which all backers that would get the PC beta would receive too.

These hats are amazing to say the least.
Yep, all the time. There are reskins of weapons already in the game and also weapons with totally new stats.
For example, the scythe could replace the Pyro's rake stats or it could have totally new stats.

The hats will be for anyone who preorders the game IGG or post-IGG it seems - as the hats still need to get voted and put in the game. So there shouldn't be any salt as that gives a chance for people to still pre-order the game if the hats get in.
Salt poisoning because of an overdose is a real and dangerous thing !

Which reminds me, are you going to update the site to reflect that SG is now not directly affiliated with Reverge and has an official forum now?
Just finished favouriting and liking all of the items. Almost every hat on there is something I'd use when playing TF2. The animated ones are excellent. Fortune and Cerebella's ones are the weakest but they're still pretty cool too.
EDIT: One other thing - the Big Band hat image also shows the saxophone, but they are distinct items, right?

Although considering how hard they're getting hammered, I imagine that shouldn't be too much of a problem. I wonder if Valve will go "sod this, accept them all and call it the Skullhats Update" (see the Triad pack for Sleeping Dogs' crossover).
