LOL Guile theme!
I really like that Knack was the first game they showed on the PS4, its as if they are conscious about the fact that they did not want to present their console as being infested with shooters, or any genre for that matter.
This gives me hope that they will try to cover major genres:
Platformer: Knack
RPG: Final Fantasy 15/Versus, maybe Kingdom Hearts 3
Racing: Drive Club, maybe GT6 port
Sports: FIFA, Madden, Pro Evolution Soccer
FPS: Killzone, Call of Duty, Battlefield, Destiny
Action: God of War 4 maybe, or a new IP from Santa Monica, Uncharted 4 maybe
Survival Horror (not a major genre): Evil Within maybe?
Move/Camera: Dancing games, exercising games, sports mini games, basically the usual

only BF4 and Uncharted 4 are of interest on that list. I can play BF4 on my PC. I hope they show off more interesting games than those in the list above. Otherwise I will cancel my PS4 preorder.
For you maybe. I find most of them interesting to be honest. This console will have dozens of great games over the next few years.
I think you should,that list is fairly optimisitc.

Imagine if this became true:
FFXV, GT6, MGSV and Agent all for 2014 on PS4. Thats some PS2 level lineup.

GT6 is pretty much confirmed to be a PS3 game,a cross gen one wouldn't have much of an impact for it to become a PS2 level lineup.

Wasn't aware that you can pre-order the PS4 at the moment.
It depends on where you live. I've got my PS4 preordered for two years now, I think.
In the UK you can pre order at Game if you put down £20.
Though with Game you might as well have just burned the £20.
Still nothing from Amazon.
Yeah that would be a decent start, however let's hope they have more in reserve, because quite frankly, when you look closely at it, their output this generation has been truly pathetic. On consoles, Last Remnant, FFXIII, XIII-2, a botched FFXIV and .... ? Oh yeah completely forgot that turd of Star Ocean 4.

Versus is probably going to be there. Maybe FF14, maybe not. But FF14 was already shown once at the Sony conference. Would be kinda stupid to show it again......
Kingdom Hearts, if there is one, will probably be shown at TGS.

I'd be incredibly surprised if we get different cases - the format is still Blu-ray, it makes sense to use Blu-ray cases.
Blu Ray cases (the blue ones) have the cut out sections as well now. So far I haven't seen a PS3 case with them though. Really hope Sony sticks to the higher quality cases for PS4.

They are going to change the cases, they have to really. Worst thing would be PS3 and PS4 cases being the same. It'd create so much market confusion.
Personally I wish they brought back the PS1 jewel cases. Might as well go all in with that kind of nostalgia stuff.

Not seeing the issue, as long as the disk doesn't have more than 1 hole in it I don't care.
The cases crush and deform relatively easily (which can, over time, stress the disk) and if mishandled the backside offers less protection to the disk against scratches and other forms of damage.
Purple seems unlikely as Microsoft already uses those for Kinect games. Sony's heavy on blue, but again that seems unlikely because, if they keep the same case designs, they'd be indistinguishable from Blu-ray movies.

No chance of CoD appearing outside of a montage. MS has a deal with Activision where CoD can only be showcased (press conference, lan events, etc) on 360.
Hoping for a BF4 appearance, but not holding my breath after all the exclusive rumors.

Vita boxes are really small while PS3 boxes are smaller than the competition. I expect the PS4 to follow this.

I think they would go with an opaque blue like the vita case instead of translucent like Blu-rays

I think the only things that may get announced ahead of time are PS3 titles.
Fair enough. Still no issue for me, everything sits on a shelf not stacked and I'm very very careful with my disks. I've sold heavily used games that looked mint.

Maybe a couple already announced PS4 games like DriveClub and Knack; so they don't get overlooked at E3.
We need a controlled leak. Something to get people salivating but nothing to spoil the whole surprise.
