Oh, I wish there was some pre-order information about the Vita versions out already or fi they'll be in physical and/or digital form. Thanks for the info again

They'll be physical just off the strength if being Final Fantasy games,

They'll als be digital because all Vita games need to be as per Sony's mandate.

The real question mark is how they'll be priced. I would guess $30 each.

I just realised X-2's Platinum trophy could be a potential nightmare if they make you get all the endings.

It's not difficult to get them at all. There's a total of about 120%-130% completion to get across both routes, and completion percentage carries over into NG+. The percentage shown on your save file won't ever read as greater than 100%, but there IS more than that. Playing through both routes (and doing as much stuff as you can both times, of course) will give most people the 100% they need for the best ending.

However...if they add a trophy to get whatever the max percentage actually is, then it's time for panic mode, especially if the completion meter remains capped. Here's hoping that doesn't happen. People who reach max completion in that carnival of absurdity deserve an actual trophy.

Lol. That is absurd.

Well... If LR:FFXIII comes out this Fall (October) and them spacing out titles each month, it makes sense for them to release it Nov/Dec because if they put it out all in one month's time, they're going to kill one of their titles.

FFXHD will come out before LR. FFXHD will also release October. Releasing anything that's not a "super huge AAA title" in November/December is suicide.

FFXHD will come out before LR.

For FFX HD, I think August is too soon and September will either kill KH or FFX HD.

The schedule I can really actually think of is:

Sept - KH HD
Oct - LR FFXIII (since it's slated Fall)
Nov/Dec - FFX/X-2 HD (although Dec 2013 will make it interesting to mark its 12th B-day in the US).

You know, I think this is the first time ever, for over a decade, that I've seen SE cram so many titles in one half of a year.

LR:FFXIII, FFX|X-2 HD, Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD, ARR:FFXIV, and Bravely Default (EU) in 6 months.

Except BD is a Nintendo published game. Not SE.

In a decade? No, they've done six games in half a year plenty of times since 2003. Also not spectacularly hard either considering every one of those listed is a port or remake besides the one Nintendo is localizing.

Hell last year SE managed 3 3DS games in about thirty days.

30$ each is almost as insulting as 3d n64 games on 3ds being 40$ pure insanity

SE is spacing them out, but LR is a hydrogen bomb in waiting. There's nothing they can do about that now, so if they're smart they'll get FFX/X-2 HD out before that since the sales prospects are higher.

Assuming SE realizes that. They were stubborn enough to make LR to start, so who knows.

If they release this in Nov/Dec.. just.. fucking... UGH! uggggggggggggh :|

I'm gonna be knee fucking deep in PS4/Infinity by then. WAY too many game coming out around that time. Come on SE, don't fucking do this...

They've been trying to minimalise the game's exposure actually. It seems like not a lot of marketing money will go into that game which is a good thing.

Rumours have FFX/FFX-2 HD at $40 each on Vita, that's some insane shit. I guess that would mean $60 on PS3, which is from a 'probably not' to a 'never'.

I would not spend more than $20 for one of them on Vita though.

Oh I thought this was cancelled. I just got the originals again too so I could emulate them :(. The Re-did textures sounds enticing though, not sure if triple-dip-worthy though.

Please Squeenix, announce the release date for these games so that everyone can stop bumping this thread wondering if it'll be October, November or December.

They won't give us a remaster of FF7, but they give us a remaster of this crap?

Sheeeesh! Thanks guys!

If you don't like the game, you are free skip this thread.

August is ARR. Sept is KH. October is FFXHD.

I thought it could come out in October as well at first, but it is almost mid-May and all we have are a couple of dozen screenshots. No Vita box art or pricing details, no gameplay videos and no additional trailers so far.

Also, by the end of March, SE stated that X is 70% complete and X-2 50% complete. That's what leads me to believe a late fall release is more likely.

I still think FFX HD will be released july august

Not happening.

Just take a look at the amount of media/information released for KH 1.5 HD (to be released on Sept. 10) so far. And the release date for that was announced just a few days ago, more than four full months before actual release, which kind of gives us a hint of how SE plans to manage the sales flow of these remastered releases.

Anything above $20 each on the Vita is outrageous and insane.

You know there's zero chance of a $20 retail game on Vita.

And that's not just SE, that's anyone putting out a Vita game. Sly 4 and Jak & Daxter HD are $30, so I consider $30 the absolute bottom line. Final Fantasy (two well-liked titles at that) being any cheaper on store shelves would be mind-blowing.
