But there's no hype for the Xbox event, guys.

None.

LMAO. I was thinking exactly what you wrote. All the naysayers/PS4 fanboys and all the talk of no hype for the Xbox Reveal, yet some places like Gametrailers are tripping over themselves to get as much coverage as possible. I don't remember this much going into the PS4 event.

What was even more interesting today was that I stopped by my friends parents house to wish his mom a happy mothers day (they are like parents to me). They are in their 60's and dad out of nowhere ask me if I am going to watch the xbox event on Tuesday. I asked him where he heard about it and he said it was non the news the other day. But, yeah there is no hype!

Can someone "only on Xbox" my avatar? I know it has nothing to do with Xbox, but what the hell. I'm hyped!

So, I listened to one of Major Nelson's podcasts, the one titled "#XboxReveal."

While he didn't reveal anything new, he did stress the word "GAMES" when referring to the event of the 21st.
He also mentioned that a lot of people are gonna be very happy with the announcements.

Considering the intended audience of Larry's podcast is gamers, I think this sounds promising.

I've been expecting games the whole time, because I know while Microsoft wants to get this thing into living rooms as a media box, it also needs games to back it up. Games and OS/features are what I'm most interested in to see 9 days from now.

Do you have a link for that, fellow gaffer?

Did you expect him to say otherwise?

He's Microsoft's PR..

For sure. The early adopters are the core gaming demographic and they will cater to them. The only thing is that the event is only 60 minutes so I don't think we'll see 8-10 minute long segments for games like at E3.

Hopefully the limited time will inspire them to condense their PR speak and get info and game footage out there efficiently.

I hope.

I see the hype train has finally picked up in here. I'm looking forward to seeing what MS brings to the table during this event. Really hoping to see some cool new IPs from them between the 21st and E3.
