Right. After the tiff that some of the Microsoft employees made about Sony not showing the PS4 design at the reveal, there is absolutely no way Microsoft doesn't make a huge deal about the design of their system.

I thought it was a good lesson on how gullible people are and how much more likely people are to believe something they at some level know is nonsensical if others believe in it too. I actually ended up sending that thread to a friend who was doing a psychology paper and referenced the thread.

Oh, undoubtedly it was a good psychological study, but it was also kinda embarassing and frustrating to watch.

Most of those people have already decided to get a PS4 regardless. Xbox fans are not going to all of a sudden jump ship just because the PS4 might end up being a bit more powerful. They're not going to all if a sudden hate Halo, Gears, Forza etc... Especially when Microsoft has yet to unveil their console.

Oh I agree, but that's how I feel about Gaming-GAF pretty much all the time when new consoles are coming out. It's like everyone lets their inner idiot out, you can almost see in chart form how quickly logic and rationality exit the building.
 
My brother stopped by the Xbox tent at lunch today. I'm not giving away any secrets when I pass along the limited info he gave me. "It's big."

It's kinda like when someone is falling in love and they're trying to still be logical and smart about it, but they're simply not going to be able to get through it without saying/doing dumb things.
 
I had a nightmare that MS revealed the fucking glasses and the whole conference was shit. I woke up disturbed.

That's a screencap of the UNSC Infinity from Halo 4.

Back when it was revealed too, there were Xbox Infinity rumours swirling. Didn't think there was a connection then, still don't think so.
