I think MS was well aware of the 1.8TFLOP GPU number from Sony.
The only surprise was the 8GB GDDR5 switch.

Then we can conversely say that Sony was well aware of what Microsoft was and Is doing, and both cleary don't care.
I think the MS reveal will just be the PS4 reveal abridged.

That should be easy... I'm more worried about the elephants.
1.8TFLOP is a comfortable spot to aim for.
MS just aimed really low for reasons unknown. It also doesn't make any sense since Thurrott claims the next box will still be expensive.

I doubt Kinect 2.0 is the cause of the price hike.
The APU might be more expensive it would be larger after all. All those custom parts aren't cheap space wise.
If it's in every SKU like the rumors believe, then yes, it is causing a price hike. A significant one at that.

50% of more power describe a big difference that its hard to keep hide in 3party games and in first party
MOST games run build around unreal engine / crytek engine
both in DEEEP ...relation with ms (can i say DEEEPER than sony???)...if u think that they didnt give them EXACTLY a target for the entire gen....(and not just for the first year)..
Microsoft had no choice it was too far in for them to do anything to change, vgleaks is from last feburary and any changes then means next year release if not later.

I think you need to lookup how long it takes to make a APU, this isn't a fly by night shed operation like you seem to think.

Huh? The bundle is of course more expensive.
Assuming we get specs - if they really are inferior to Sony's I can't see Microsoft making a song and dance about them.

No way, I think we will see 100 to 200% more than PS4. I suspect MS will get different kind, PowerPC, 16 core CPU etc...

And if they don't mention the specs at all?. I am saying that I don't think they will change much, i.e. 30% difference at least imo.
Sony's event was a developer's event? I'm not sure that developers got much out of hearing that PS4 has a 'supercharged PC architecture' or a gameplay demo of Killzone.

The funniest part was some insiders on here saying that Sony would not discuss specs.
So the size of the venue somehow affects what's in the console and which games it has?

I don't think specs crossed my mind once when I was deciding whether to buy a 360 or PS3. It's just so completely and utterly irrelevant to gaming. I know I'm going to get crucified for that comment but fuck it.

I think this generation, more than ever, specs aren't going to matter. Every rumour and leak we've heard puts the PS4 and next Xbox at roughly the same level. Whatever difference there is will be so slight that it probably won't make a difference.
