Hmm whatever it is seems like Shahid and Co have some faith that whatever is coming can potentially "Revitalize"the vita to some extent. If its that strong of announcement and they dont present it at E3 then Im not sure what to think.
I am really curious to see what this could turn out to be.

Last of Us isn't though but it is PS3/PS4 Crossbuy, FFV and TLG are Tri-Buy titles.
Type-0 Localization isn't happening but they are remaking it so to speak for the Vita.

I actually think it's higher than we think, Square has come out saying they are going to focus on titles the fans want. Pinning it down to Vita would mean it's easier to re-make than to do it on the PS4.
It's also one of the games that would cause that kind of reaction everyone is tweeting about assuming the hyperbole isn't too over the top.
Just for the record, although I argue for all these crazy ideas and games I in no way have any expectations and won't set myself up for disappointment when it's something I don't care about.

Eh, not necessarily. EA and MS might have an exclusive thing going on for one game but EA and Sony have been buddies for a while now because of MS and Activision. I expect to see some PS4 exclusive stuff from them (maybe some DLC etc.)

Microsoft is only giving them Respawn.
And MS isn't in the portable space, no reason to boycott all Sony platforms even if that out of control rumour were to pan out. It could very well be EA.
No offense, but the majority of people who care about those games are just SEGA fans. I wouldn't be hyped for either and they'd be ports.

Well they _kinda_ are if you count tablets/WP8 but not in the traditional sense of handhelds.

I'm not a Sega fan by any means, but I loved those two particular games back in their time and would love to see enhanced versions of them on my Vita.

According to the rumor Shinobi posted, Durango will get all the exclusive DLC.
I don't even think the original team behind 1/2/3/MM is with Japan Studio anymore seeing how they outsourced the recent ones.

I think if there were to be an FF7 remake, it'd be a similar deal to FFX HD - probably separate Vita and PS3 (maybe 4) versions.
I'm pretty sure the classic known as PlayStation Move Ape Escape was developed internally.
