I'd put that in the not possible camp. They might do a Minecraft: New Xbox Edition that has larger worlds, less limitations and rolls out updates quicker or something... but no way does Mojang let MS make an entirely distinct, new Minecraft.

If I had a guess, this isn't about money. It's about being able to control who sees what, and when. When Apple does a show off-campus, there's always pictures being leaked by non-Apple employees. Building the worlds most awesome tent on your campus could prevent that. It also does what Aaron said - allows them to go from the tent to conference rooms to show off some more stuff to the attendees.
