Would one of us get banned for a tag request of simply "tent"? With a hyperlink to my Brick Tamland pic?

Not that I'm doing that of course.

All the talk about "entertainment" so early on makes me cringe.

New consoles at launch are expensive and as a result the driving force behind early sales is mostly made up of core gamers. These gamers aren't buying $500 consoles to watch netflix on, they're buying them to play new games that they can't get on current-gen consoles.

TLDR: More talk about new games, less about services.

I'm not expecting more than 2-3 big games. I'm actually more interested right now in the console itself ie hardware, OS, new features etc. We know there will be great games on the consoles, but nothing excites me more than brand new features when it comes to new hardware.

E3 will focus on games....at least I hope.

I think this is the sole reason why Microsoft is holding the reveal on the campus. If they have it in some theater, there would be a LOT of people who work outside of MS that could possibly have access to some secret information. If they held it at Redmond, they can keep everything locked inside until the last minute and even their rehearsals will be on site as well. In other words, that ship is waterproof right now. I think any leak we hear will be an intentional leak to drum up hype.

Exactly. By keeping the reveal on campus, no one outside of MS needs to be told anything. Smart of them to do that, let's hope these surprises are worth the hype.

Jesus Christ! Why hasn't anything leaked yet.

I hope so as well, but the past 3 E3s have shown that MS will still push OS features heavily during their conferences.

I want MS to drop the kinds of megatons that will be remembered for years to come.

This is a brand new console, of course Microsoft will be focusing heavily on OS features in a press conference, that doesn't mean games aren't coming nor that they aren't a main focus.

OS features have become the best part about consoles these days.

All consoles have great games. I think you need more than just games to keep you coming back to a console.

Everybody Votes Channel. So awesome. Had me turning on my Wii almost daily.

Not exclusive games?

Not exclusive games?
What a facetious question and spinning of a fairly simple statement.

Microsoft focus on integrating system wide Kinect voice recognition and Bing Search probably did more for the 360 consumer base and the future of home consoles overall than Sony's 15 minute Wonderbook demo.

By games isn't he referring to multiplatform games or am I wrong?

Edit: I was under the assumption that the main differentiators between the HD twins was MS's and Sony's exclusives.

You think the 'games media' know something that we don't? Or do you think it's all Microsoft internals so far?
If the gaming media knew anything about the reveal on the 21st they'd be whoring out articles about it.

He wasn't reffering to games at all. You're the one who decided to infer something from a statement to try and spun it.

And frankly, Microsoft's focus on integrating system wide Kinect voice recognition and Bing Search probably did more for the 360 consumer base and the future of home consoles overall than Sony's 15 minute Wonderbook demo.

Not exclusive games?

As I said, ALL consoles have great games that will please people.

Even niche consoles have at least 5-10 games worth buying the console for.

Consoles have evolved past just playing games. The Saturn and Playstation should have showed you that.

Some DJs used to use the Saturn for its ability to adjust vocal pitch on the fly.

Ever since the Dreamcast, I get just as excited about what the OS will do, as I do the games.

I KNOW there's games, what else you got to bring to the table? (not asking you)

What's the point, certain people will always try to spin and take any focus on OS/Entertainment features as a LACK of focus on games.

And then when you mention AAA franchise sequels, digital games, family-oriented games, or kinect games...suddenly the goalposts will change to "core retail first-party games that are new IPs"
