I completely agree, Which is exactly why the PS4 has next to no interest to me.

I found Sony's exclusives severely lacking in fun and interest this gen. Certainly the best example of quantity vs quality that I can think of.

So true. I bought a PS3 when Demon's Souls came out. Since then, I've bought first-party games only such as the Uncharted series, Heavy Rain, Journey, Ico/SotC HD, Flower, etc.

Outside of those, I haven't enjoyed much. Resistance was dull, hated Killzone and Dead Nation felt rather flaccid.

I have more fun with Microsoft offerings this generation, though I must say that franchise fatigue is beginning to set in and they need to develop and diversify their retail releases.

It's the reveal of a new console. What's not to get excited about? You think they're just going to stand around on stage dropping hints about what they're going to show at E3 for an hour? We're going to be seeing games and all fingers point to the box itself, that's enough for me to get excited.

It leaves you a little bitter when you're expectations aren't met, especially when you allow them to run wild and start hoping for/expecting big game reveals. Better to temper those expectations and be surprised than let them run wild and be disappointed.

It's the reveal of a new console. What's not to get excited about? You think they're just going to stand around on stage dropping hints about what they're going to show at E3 for an hour? We're going to be seeing games and all fingers point to the box itself, that's enough for me to get excited.

Fair enough, I'm not expecting much as I don't want to be disappointed again and I see people doing what I did with unrealistic hopes/expectations. I hope we do get to see some great new games as well as the hardware, but I can't shake the feeling we might not see the hardware and games will be relatively light as they'll be holding onto a lot of reveals/announcements for e3.

I wish the design of the box will be worth the wait! Sony decision to go first was a masterful one in terms of timing, but however you slice it, Microsoft will score some vaulable points by exposing the beast. Let's hope they've put as much effort into conceiving it as they had done their latest gadgets!

It's not like big companies react to every piece of rumor or speculation by throwing an impormptu meeting. Microsoft has had a plan that takes time to implement and they are simply going with it...

This sounds so preposterously laugh out loud funny, but it's the sad truth.

Kinect voice bringing the future, no not really, it doesnt work well and is not better then a controller or remote.

I use it all the time, together with the controller, and my experience is all the better for it. I would never go back.
