It is...GLORIOUS

Going with a PC seems like a great thing to do if all you're worried about is games. I mean, the more I think about it, the PC has more exclusives that I want than any other platform this year. Broken Age, Torment, and Shadowrun: Retruns are all shaping up to be awesome. (I hope they turn up on the consoles eventually.) It's also great that the player can dictate how great games will look and perform based on their own investments.

Unfortunately, none of the friends I have (outside of forums or online social sites like reddit) use a gaming PC. Not to mention I'll always be in favor of ease of use and stability over better graphics and performance, for the most part. A game running on "High" instead of "Ultra" isn't a big deal to me. So the consoles being weaker out of the gate doesn't even bother me that much. Not to mention I think there's a big difference in being less powerful like these new consoles or being less powerful like the Wii U. These new consoles are going to be a big leap, not a half-step.

Made a avatar for you AOC.

That's my plan. The laptop I want now will spank both consoles, but I'm holding off until it gets upgraded with a Haswell processor. So rather than buy both consoles, I'll be getting one initially along with the laptop. Based on the games I saw at the PS4 reveal, I'll be waiting on the PS4. Unless they have some secret third party exclusives, they simply lack appealing exclusives. Microsoft has the power to change my mind about buying either console if they announce no used games, and always-forced-online. If that happens, PC only + 360 combo for a year or two.

yea, the only reason I bought a PS3 was for the exclusives. But this time around I plan on getting both Xbox Durango and PS4. PC gaming is a bit too addictive in my case and I have wasted too much $$$ on Steam. I don't even have enough time to play games anymore...

I will sell the 7970 and buy a PS4 or Durango first depending on who has the best launch games.

I also hope they dont regurgitate the 7970 as the base for the GPU, but oh well, gotta stay competetive right? Any surprise things besides kinect 2.0 or whatever they throw at us is good.

Loving everyones 'only on xbox' avatars, bee-tee-dubs.

Minds are being blown in the GT6 Reveal: Thread.

I predict a similar reaction here.

Why do you say that? I understand there are heat and power draw concerns, but if they could keep that under control why wouldn't you want a 680-equivalent in the next Xbox?

ekim told me that it's there to emulate the console as a whole. Not to be a measure of the 680's raw power.

So it lines up with what a Alpha Dev kit is.

I'll react the same way I'm reacting to GT6 if MS announces nothing but 360 games at the next Xbox reveal. Done with this generation unless the SoC thing comes true, and then I might buy some Summer of Arcade titles. If not, no sale.

Can you give a quick recap? (I know that you won't give fluff or spin.)

And I agree.

EDIT: Also, this all has got me more excited about PGR5 and Forza 5.

what u mean with "regurgitate the 7970"?

Deals with third parties for exclusive games not DLC

We're going to see both, COD: Ghosts is definitely going to be a DLC or maybe even a timed-exclusive but nothing more.

My money is on Bethesda

Fallout 4 exclusive on Xbox would be a gigaton.

That GT6 thread..... it's pretty much nerdgasm all over everyone's face.

Can't blame them, games like GT evoke that kind of emotions. You'll see the same when Forza 5 is revealed.

You'd be nuts not to expect both since both are proven to be successful. Gaming is a lot about immediacy. Holding the advantage at the launch of a game means almost everything. Sony knows it it too.

Sorry I should of been more clear and said "Not just DLC aka PS4 Destiny" announcements but the actual games themselves. It worked for them in the early years of 360 with the likes of Dead Rising 1, Saints Row and Mass Effect

My money is on Bethesda

This would be nice.
I am placing my bets elsewhere with a couple newer devs and devs that have been working on things for awhile that aren't as KNOWN as Bethesda but actually have some impressive games in the works.

As it should be. Too many people try to dryhump threads to death with stupid one liner comment trolls. I like to see people actually HAPPY and excited. It gets tiring weeding through their mental detritus.

Do you think epic will have something for Microsoft?

EPIC has been a bit hands off with MS lately, though they did seem happy during the 360 days. I also think that both parties might feel that a more distanced relationship is better.

Lets stay on topic peeps.

No, it's not they will most likely have features that are compatible with other devices.

You might be able to tune cars on your PC and tablet, smartphone and so on.
