We possibly have a UI! I really like that UI design, especially for use with Kinect. It definitely has a lot of possibilities. I also agree that it seems strange that they'd move away from the Modern UI, but maybe they thought that this was just too good to use with Kinect 2.0 to give up.

Very interesting! About time business picked up!

Well, it's a pic of a UI shown in 2011. I wouldnt jump to any conclusions yet.

Everything seem to be going the tiled route. Would be funny and amazing to see MS go in a totally new direction for the 720 UI.

Wow... I don't know what to make of this. It seems very modern (Google Plus, Facebook chat heads), but I'm not sure if navigation will be simple.

If Kinect 2.0 is rumored to be included then I imagine you would just point, swipe and maybe burst the bubbles. You could also use two hands and expend or decrease the size of the bubbles. Voice control would also be adopted and text messages would be written as you talk if needed.

I dont know if people understand just how good Kinect actually could be on the hardware they have made for it. Its being reviewed and shot down before it gets a chance. Judging it based on what we have now is completely unfair.

I'd be surprised if it was like that video. Remember, MS is trying to tie all their products together, and this looks nothing like the others. It would make compatibility less intuitive.

6 days we'll know!

It's getting shot down by people predisposed to not liking it. Everyone else is intelligently taking a wait-and-see approach.

I hope they specifically address concerns about the reliability of the launch product beyond just saying " so sorry about that, we've worked hard to do better".

Red ring issue was significant and long enough of an issue that it demands some kind of guaranteed warranty.

Windows 8.1 interface?
But all kidding aside you are right there.

As bad as the RRoD debacle was, they shouldn't bring it up. It's time to move on, they've shown their newer consoles are reliable, that should be enough to assuage any fears.

I would love that actually, because it would be a surprise, and actually playful again.

Yeah, I am kinda getting sicks of the neat and tidy tiles in everything.

If it is the new UI and built around Voice/Kinect, being able to float around the UI, throwing things around or imagine grouping them together in the order I choose. I can see some MiiVerse things but with more than just a game and its community.

I get the feeling of a universe thing with moving things around in orbits and patterns.

The naysayers keep focusing on the games and while I agree that should be the be the main priority having a navigation and OS be intuitive, clean, easy to use and just interesting could have a big impact. It's something many of us use daily in our lives. Whether on a computer, tablet or smartphone. First impressions go a long ways.

This is exciting! We're all like ravenous dogs, ready to snap at any possible rumor or correlation to find out what the next Xbox is about.

As a Developer myself, I can't see MS leaving the blocky Metro UI behind so soon, they are using their bubble prototype on small things first and sure benchmarking how it is used by us, 0.1% that the Next Xbox will have it.

It's never been a secret, and I think addressing that issue is better than ignoring it.

The fact that the slims were reliable is kind of irrelevant, that's a result of years of R&D and smaller, cheaper chipsets that weren't an option at launch.

I have a feeling that the only bubble that's going to be burst is ours when I turns out to be Metro again. I have no problem with Metro, but this has that new car smell to it.

It's funny how the PS2 was crap HW wise but the original Xbox was great and everyone forgets it.

Every now and then shoddy HW is released, doesn't mean it'll happen again.

Hush your bubble hating truths!

:(

but I'm sure you are right...geez things are getting bad in here for new information when we go crazy over bubbles....
