Back on topic. I am still betting that they have kiosks playable there at the event. Something about the tweet about showing the tech and walking around sounded like there will be lots of hands on presentation.

Wonder how free to play will work? Will they just allow those to be played free or maybe everyone can play online? this can bee an advantage for sony if they don't figure it out. Also if ftp is free and the rest is still pay they can lose customers when they can just play the free games instead.

Indeed intrigued about how MSFT will handle that, so called AAA's publishers can get mad about F2P games being online unlocked, and their super billionaire expensive games are paywalled. Or MSFT will just let this fall and be under the competition pay walling free to play games and promoting as "hey! gold members have free games to play, come to the gold side of Xbox Live".

Something about Forza that NEVER bothered me was their choice of cars. I don't mind not having nascar for shit sakes! I mean...I get that some people like it but it just doesn't fit with Forza to me.

I would love weather and day or night kind of stuff. That would be amazing. But I haven't MISSED it exactly. Just noticed it once in awhile. Sometimes in fact the weather stuff gets in the way of my enjoyment. Horizon had a good mix.

I may be called heretic by some, but I'm more hyped for another Horizon than a Motorsport. I love Motorsport, but Horizon has an awesome feel that I was missing from racing games from a while.

NASCAR to me is boring, Rally Racing however is awesome. I'd like to see weather conditions and fog plus night driving as well. That video from Game Trailers showed a lot of potential with Smartglass.

I like Horizon and Motorsport, I prefer Motorsport, I was just pointing out that your criticism is a little off.

Instead of circles you could have more accurately said repetitive tracks.

Play PGR4. They got car selection dead-on (a fraction of what FM4 or GT5 have, but still manage to cover all bases quite easily) and their weather and environment detail is unsurpassed.

I briefly fired it up last night to check something, and the lighting on overcast/sunny Manhattan is literally flawless. Provides a sense of realism I'm yet to see in any city-focused driving game.

PS. Anyone want to summarise that video for me? And why aren't more people focused on PGR than Forza? COME ON.

That was a really short video and it seems to have been made by someone who doesn't play much Forza. Where is the request for more tracks? This is really the biggest fault in the franchise even above day/night cycles and weather.

They also mentioned a lack of NASCAR which is clearly already in Forza 4. The video seems more like something a person looking for the outside in and using common differences between GT and Forza as a request sheet.

Yeah, a couple pages back. It's not confirmed to be anything other than a rough prototype of a future MS UI, but the new bubbles on the Xbox website kind of lend to the theory of it being related.

No and no.

I talk about this in Angry Centaur news. Basically you can bet many pubs want it. Regardless if it is right they THINK that piracy impacts them enough to have something require online. Additionally they bear 0 actual responcibility in the equation. They can release a game with or without the requirement. So therefore it rests 100% with the hardware creator to decide if they add that to their system as a full always on spec with ALL the negatives that would have on a system release and 0 positives. That means, at first at least, MS takes the entire brunt of all the negative press, reactionary none sales and so forth.

It just doesn't make sense.
