Fighting Games Weekly | May 13-19 | Throwing coins

To me BB has reaction and fundamental requirements that are really high, it just wants you to have high execution for half the cast as well.
Eh, it depends on the BB iteration, haha.

As for the dark souls and demon's souls thing. Those games have really shitty barriers of entry.
I don't think they do. I think people just expect to go in mashing and die. If you're from the golden age of gaming, it feels like home. :-X

I look at that huge stick and I can see how people might have a problem with IADs versus pressing a button. Pad IADs are a joke in comparison thanks to D-pad being entirely accessible by your thumb.
Indeed.

The solution lies in Mike's approach. Give us both types of IADs! SG has both and BB should do the same!
SG lets you two button air dash? :-O

Yeah, him, Justin and other character specific players(dem Hulk players) go really far with the simple stuff.
KBR embarrasses people who practice plink Magnetic Blasts all day.

Fake edit: Now I remember. It sucks for you, but Q mentioned CS1 Bang earlier. That dude was BB's answer to laborious combos back in the early CS days. He was your MvC3 Wolverine without the derp invincible claw and X-factor. Bang doesn't seem like your kind of character at all, but he was the answer to Litchi's combo madness and low output combo dependent characters like Rachel and Tsubaki.
Yeah, Bang is pretty much my antithesis. I like people who are evil and happy about it. And I mean happy. I don't like Doom partially because he's evil, but the dude sounds so sad about it. Evil is a beautiful and joyous thing to be.

I can respect that. Games like BB are the way they are because there is a market for that. Unfortunately it doesn't jive with you and it hasn't stopped me from enjoying the series so we're at odds here.
But you can make me happy without making you unhappy.

Yes, you can macro them sumbitches so you can turn it into a one button IAD. Combine that with the buffer I told you about and you get to see Discoshark mix me up more than Q.Bee on speed.

I can see why you wouldn't like Arakune now, but I guess that means that big boobs and witches are a powerful draw for you lol.

Indeed

I'd like to see the combo system reworked to be a bit more universal across the entire cast and I've also been pining for a better damage boost. Guilty Gear pretty much got it perfect with it's guts system and defense ratings per character.

One day we'll be able to play BlazBlue: Phaseshift 2015 +CSPAN edition and it'll have all the stuff we wished for. Normalised combos, higher damage without needing twenty hit combos and bunch of evil motherfuckers who kick kitties because it brightens their day.

Imagine the video below, but more simple and with more crazy evil fucks. I want that, but ASW seems dead set on trolling us.

Is it just me or has Twitch been lagging a lot?

I've had some strange video stuttering issues a few weeks ago despite having very good internet. They've mostly seemed to clear up now, though.

Edit: East vs West 5v5 confirmed, apparently there might be something with F. Champ too? Spooky isn't sure.

I got cable and thought i was finally going to be able to put that shit on 1080p/720p all day, erry day.

but the past month/weeks i have to keep the stream at the halfway point in the resolution options otherwise its unbearable.

Looks like the problem is sporadic. I can stream 720p+ but lately it feels like I can't even watch at 360p without stutter. I hope things clear up for ETC.

I could potentially see Knives being in there in place of Neo, but really, other than that, not sure. East Coast looks about right, at most I could see Dieminion being there instead of Noel Brown, but no matter what East Coast will have a solid team.

East Coast gonna win this.

ChrisG was at Toryuken?

As far as I recall he wasn't.

Take Neo and put SenorTaxi, our only hope

No offense since I haven't been following this but: Is Divekick's only gimmick just dive-kicking people to win rounds. Whoever has a dive-kick connect wins the round? :/ Seems kinda lame if true.

Yes. I thought it was lame at first when I first saw it. It wasn't until I played the original version that I was convinced at how brilliant it is. It is literally a fighting game that ANYONE can get into. It's not one that requires lab time or practice mode grinding. It is purely controlling space and knowing your attacks.

I've seen it at events with hardcore fighting gamers, fanboys, casual gamers, and developers. It has proven to be quite a hit just from watching people learn/play it for the first time.

Heck, check out some of the best fighting game players in the world playing it in this video link:

Haven't you seen me posting in the Dragon's Crown threads? ;-)

I've watched and played plenty of GG, haha. Though when I played it, I wasn't any good. MvC3 is my first "serious" fighting game.
