I don't want leaks either. It's only an hour presentation, there can't be that much content and if there is leaks then there won't be anything to surprise us.

That ff13 announcement was spectacular. That was so fun. Ten minutes before the presser people where joking about ff13 and fanboy's where saying it will never happened...

Yeah i looked at the thread a while back, wish i were here at that time lol.

Gamespot accidentally leaked the FF13 stuff during the conference about twenty minutes before the announcement but nobody believed it and thought it was just a mistake.

Then Square took the stage a few minutes later and the thread blew up into complete craziness. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=327004

Yeah it's pretty hilarious looking at the posts before and after the official announcement , wasn't on Gaf at the time but practically every game forum was shut down with that announcement, never have a witnessed such meltdowns about a game before. It was amazing!

Microsoft points are basically going to be forced out no matter what as Microsoft moves forward with a unified platform plan. Soon enough we're going to see pretty much the same store and apps across all of their platforms and Microsoft points would be way too confusing for a part of the market they are trying to reach out too with some of these platforms.

Xbox
Windows
Windows RT
Windows Phone
Office
Skype

and so on are all going to need monetary systems that work with each other.

I don't know why people want leaks so bad anyway. Last time i was genuinely surprised by something game related was E3 08 with FF13. I am not sure if that actually leaked before hand, maybe it did and i wasn't paying attention. But it was nice having such a megaton dropped with no prior knowledge. I don't know if there will be any megatons dropped on the 21st but if their are, it would be a lot better if they are actually surprising.

Some idiot somehow confused Fallout 3, with FFXIII...

Someone likely just messed up when they were uploading images. It'd be neat if true, but this is probably just a "d'oh" moment.

you just woke up? ... probably someone's E3 dream

I think this is basically an intentional "error" in order to garner some hits during E3.

Keep Dreaming.

Dream on.

good times
Good lad. After you've discovered it's inherent awesomeness, you can join us over here for a bit :)

thanks yea been admiring that thread... :) hope it's on come Tuesday

The funniest thing about the FF13 announcement were the attempts to downplay it.

"But is it day and date??"

Yes, in America and Europe

"But what about Japan???" Like anyone cares lol

Is there a single feature that Microsoft could announce that would cement your purchase?

hmm, if they announced I could play my 360 games uprezzed [not upscaled but running native] in 1080p. I don't think publishers would like that though since they couldn't release their "HD collections"

It's been so long since we had a true megaton.

The Bayonetta 2 graveyard thread was great though.

Definitely. It wouldn't have caused those delicious meltdowns that FF caused.

It was, and will forever be, beautiful. I raced home just to hop online and witness the internet-wide meltdows. I wasn't disappointed!

Is Alan Wake 2 a feature? :P

I'm not sure... the ability to install and play retail games from the HDD without a disc would be very nice.

I want to get hyped for this, I really do. Hopefully they'll be a light on the "entertainment" and "content" rubbish and show me some new games worth playing. A new Halo or Gears won't cut it. Alan Wake 2 and whatever new exclusive IP's they can show. And I know I may be asking just a bit too much here but maybe just MAYBE something that isn't a shooter.

Fallout 3 would have been a better exclusive to get than FF.

From a quality point of view its subjective (though I prefer Fallout 3), from a sales point of view they are relatively the same if not favouring FF slightly but from an impact pov FF was clearly the bigger megaton. FF represented the PS3's last bastion of hope in an era where many of its third party exclusives went multiplatform. MS killed all incentive some people had for buying a ps3 at that time. The result: posts and threads we will remember forever.

MTV is nowhere near as relevant as it was 8 years ago. Also isn't this system doing what Apple TV is rumored to be doing and trying to move away from cable packages and instead allow you to get channels/shows ala carte?

No.

Such a thing is really hard to do cause the cable companies have so much clout and they dont want it to happen.

There's only 5 days left!!!!
Get it right, it's exactly

So is anyone else actually excited for the features aspect of the 720? Most people seem so dismissive of it but I personally love the idea of being able to instantly switch between games with no downtime for instance. I understand people want the focus on games but come on, does anyone truly believe the console will be starved for content like the late days of the Gamecube or something?
