One minor adjustment.

edit: without logo for the first one.

The second APU inyected...

That bubble one is terrible as a banner though for an announcement. Its just a rendition of whats already there. The other banner is a bit more artistic and with the X appearing to explode it just looks a lot cooler.

Then again the banner will only be seen for .45 seconds before we get to the second page hahahaha

This is probably the logo along with what ever the name of the system is:

xbox-logo-top.png

If they are using this hard graphical bubbly bull *Beep for the new logo I will be... not surprised!

MS Always seem to take a great logo ( OG Xbox ) and over simplify the branding image until it looks like crap! The OG logo, animation and branding was brilliant.
The Splitting surface revealing the other world appearing to a Xbox Logo. Now we have cute bubbles? Real Hard Core!

I hope Bubbles are not the new image branding.

Afaik it was on that news.xbox.com site.

Edit: it wasn't...
They supplied two tent images as a downloadable ZIP file however.

I'm pretty sure they've been posted before in this thread. These images contained some metadata though. Shot with Nokia Lumia 920 on the 15th of May. There's also GPS coordinates attached:

Latitude: 47;38;37.5700000000
Longitude: 122;8;19.3599999999

I'd like to post what I think we could see happen next-gen in terms of second hand sales that I also think will be relevent at Microsoft's May 21st announcement.

Okay, so we know the issue with second-hand games for the PlayStation 4 is 'unanswered' as of yet, leading some to question whether we'll still have the luxury of reselling our retail games. But an interview with GameStop CEO J. Paul Raines certainly has my interest piqued;

We've been spending a lot of time with Microsoft, but we have to let them take the lead on this, but it will be a very hot, compelling device. They are doing some really cool stuff, and I'm eager to hear them start their announcements because I think the world is going to stand up and take notice. - Source

There, the CEO notes they're doing some compelling stuff for Next Xbox, and Gamestop's profit comes largely from the resale of games. Now I would imagine if Microsoft (and perhaps Sony) would block second-hand sales it would severely dent Gamestop's profits, so for the CEO to come out with such a remark is interesting to say the least.

There must be something that is satisfying publishers and retailers about the whole second-hand market, and I think I have a potential outcome, that isn't the near bit Draconian and all can benefit from it.

When the rumours were circulating about Sony's patent for blocking used-game sales, I had thinking of other potential uses among the obvious-stated function, I know patents cover a broad range of things and I don't know near enough to divulge into all that. Furthering that, there is this statement following the Febuary 20th reveal of the PlayStation 4 by the head of PlayStation UK 'Fergal Gara' ;

"There was a lot of reaction to a patent that was filed, which is a matter of course for a technology business like us, to file various patents at various times, many of which many never see any application but they are good to have depending on ideas that might be building. The answer to the pre-owned question isn’t clarified just yet and we’re working through that and we’ll announce our position in more detail as and when we can"- Source

My little suggestion: Disc-encoded pre-order content.
What I mean from this, is say there is Gamestop pre-order bonuses now with games for like exclusive armour or character skins, we currently get a download voucher to input. What I think could happen, is that these bonuses are being hardcoded onto the optical disk so brand-new owners can take advantage of these bonuses without downloading from PSN and XBL and instead just play the game straight away. If true there will be much more in-depth implementation of course, Microsoft and Sony would have better minds to further market this.

So this is relevant because I think they'll announce this new feature at this May 21st event, hence Sony's response that the answer to second-hand isn't clarified yet is because of this new feature, and are awaiting Microsofts announcement of it, given the recent comments by Gamestop CEO so it could be down to Microsoft being able to announce the feature for their platform first, but being part of both Microsoft's and Sony's strategy.

Sorry if someone has already suggested this or it's been shot-down or whatever, but I thought it was worth sharing regardless.

I brought this up a couple months ago in various discussions and was shot down. But I hope its right. I like the idea of that. However, from what I understand it had to do with them not knowing where particular games are going and thus the disks aren't burned for a particular retailer and aren't even slotted for a particular retailer until being almost fully packaged.
Though disk pressers could change this I suppose.

I read on a french site that an IGN forum member posted a credible text describing the content of the conference and signaling the vast improvements made to the hardware (20 CUs instead of the initial 12, 12 GB of DDR, 64mb of eSram...). Was this brought up in this thread?

...crickets...

I think people are expecting way too many game at the reveal. I really don't see there being more than 2-3 game demos with some trailers thrown in.

Console will be focus, keep expectations in check.

Last night. Was roundly mocked for several reasons. Among them:

- The insider claimed to know the specs but out of the kindness of his heart was going to withhold them and let everyone find out for themselves on reveal day
- Kinect wasn't going to be included with every unit

I'm so excited just to see who was right and who was wrong about all this spec nonsense. I really don't care if it's not as powerful as the PS4, because I know the games will still look great, but I really want to see who was bullshitting and who was telling the truth, if anyone.

One of those could be real. Or all of them.

4 days...
