Quick, someone talk me out of Ace Combat: Assault Horizon. I'm a hardcore Ace Combat fan, but it's probably my least favorite "mainline" title in the series. That price is pretty tempting and there are no other Ace Combat options/games on the PC so I feel somewhat obligated to check it out. Anyone know if the online community is active? I can't imagine there being too many old school Ace fans playing Assault Horizon nonstop, lol!

I really disliked it, both single and co-op. The concept is awesome, the execution is very mindless and awkward, at least in my opinion.

I found it pretty bland even in co-op and certainly have no drive without my pro friend playing carry for our group.
I enjoyed it on the level of being a total whore for LOTR. As an action RPG it's pretty inoffensive, but there isn't much special about it either.

I'm gonna sleep on it. Sale continues for a bit, right? I already own the game on PS3, cleared it once, checked out the multiplayer for a bit, but have never returned to it. I liked certain things about the game, but overall it was a huge disappointment. I'm just curious how the community is. I haven't checked the PS3 version in ages, but I assume it's mostly dead (unless there's some cool, hardcore Japanese group still rocking it, I don't know). We'll see how I feel tomorrow, lol!

Thanks, sounds like a pass then. I doubt I'll be able to convince any of my normal crew to buy a tower defense game. My backlog is long enough as it is anyway.

EDIT: after some googling, turns out the gamersgate keys were the ones with this issue a couple of years ago, so nothing to worry it seems.

Binary Domain - Never seen a steam sale. Been $4.99 on amazon at least twice before

Don't buy Sonic Generations alone. You can get the Ultimate Dreamcast Pack ($8.49) or the Sonic Action Pack ($9.99), both of them include Sonic Generations plus other games (the Sonic Action Pack actually includes the DLC).
The Sonic Action Pack is a GREAT deal btw.

It's great and fun, and it's also a really good PC port IMO.
Just get Dark Souls. Binary Domain if you REALLY feel it after watching a review, I guess.

Yeah, DS & BD can wait. That sonic pack seems like a good deal, especially with Unleashed Project to try out.
You can check each game's page on steam for the system requirements. For example, Binary Domain is Windows only.
It is also a game with pretty beefy requirements for laptops, similar with sonic generations. I would get one of the macbooks with a GT 650m or higher. You'll be good to go for 720p - 1080p gaming.
If your workload is not dependent on the apple ecosystem, I can suggest to you to try this thread of gaming laptops:

I ended up getting the DoW2 bundle, that huge Sonic pack, Garshasp, SR3, and Alice. Not too shabby. I might get that second Garshasp game, too.
I'd like to thank Amazon and Green Man Gaming. I can't recall the last time I bought a game at full price. Just picked up Virtua Tennis 4. I'm thinking about the Game of Thrones RPG, but I'm not sure. Is it worth $15 or should I wait? And how is Lord of the Rings: War in the North?
I've put 318 hours into Virtua Tennis 4. It's a really fun game, but you should know that it's very prone to freezing and random disconnects, as well as not accurately recording your wins. I think most of this is GFWL's fault.

Not worth more than $5 from what I understand.
I'm sadly debating the same thing. PC gets dicked over with bioware pretty much never having a sale with it's DLC and still being tied to bioware points.

YES! I had $8 credit when I went to checkout while buying Borderlands 2, bringing the total to $6.06. Damn, Amazon is bringing it to Steam with these major sales.
Yeah, I imagine so. Though there's a bundle of the first two games on Steam for whatever that's worth.
Probably going to get the ME3 bundle, I got 1 & 2 on PC when they were $10, and this is a bit lower but fits I guess with how relatively disappointing of an ending it was... but it's still a pretty good game.
