Back on topic: Does anyone else think that the Xbox 360 dashboard update semi-confirms that P2P Multiplayer and Networked App access will be put under Xbox Live Silver instead of Gold (i.e. removed from paywall)? Surely if such a thing were to happen then it would require a pretty major software update to the 360.

Edit: Personal opinion: MS announces that XBL Gold is no longer required for online access to multiplayer and apps, software patch to deliver it and updated 360 UI/UX around June.

Depends on what they offer. Personally, if they add Xbox Music/Video subscription I would renew it.

Just my opinion. I guess it doesn't really confirm anything. I, personally, think that they'll remove the paywall for multiplayer and networked apps. It just makes sense to me that they would, even though that's not based on any rumor or evidence. To do this they'll need a pretty major software update. This announcement fits right into that theory.
