Entering PS Plus in June:
29th May: Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
29th May: ICO and Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection
29th May: Demon’s Souls
5th June: Rayman Origins
5th June: Coconut Dodge Revitalised

I think this is the first month I'm actually totally meh about PS+

Aklready got Demon’s Souls (Awesome); Rayman Origins (Awesome); ICO and Shadow of the Colossus (Awesome); and thought that the Kingdoms of Amalur demo was crap / not interested.

Still; awesome line up unless you are like me.

holy fuck Sony

Why do I even keep buying games?

Sony have taught me not to buy games anymore. I think the last game I brought at retail was Dishonoured; which I wasn't overly impressed with. (Think because FPV)

Absolutely untrue. I remember reading something to this effect from Digutal Foundry only to be pleasantly surprised at how well it ran in 3D. I played through almost all of the game in 3D and the game barely dipped from 30, never going below 20. Given that the original PS2 version often dipped into teens, it's a more than serviceable framerate and far from atrocious.

Well you're lucky then. Had the complete opposite experience, even after having played the ps2 version. :s

Europe slaying it again, while NA is lucky to get a single good game :(

I know 'the grass is always greener' etc, but it's REALLLY seeming that way lately. I would kill for Rayman Origins on vita -- I already have it on PC but it would be perfect for me right now portably.

This Service is amazing..fuck man. So many great games and no time to play!
Sony is doiing realy great job with the PS+! Im just now downloading Hitman

I don't have time to play a new game every month so it doesn't really bother me. Still have Darksiders, Borderlands and Sleeping Dogs in my queue, those are only the ones I can remember. Plus all the physical games in my backlog... I'll definitely be able to wait for PS4 Slim.

I wonder if I'll be able to hoard PS4 games from my PS3 like I can for PSVita.

So, does anyone think NA will get SoTC/ICO? I really want to play both. I recently grabbed them on PS2 but I don't have a PS2. So either I buy a PS2, buy the HD collection, or I just wait. What to do?

My predictions for SCEA: At least one fighting game, if they can't cram more in there.
KoA:Reckoning (I imagine the rights won't be that hard to secure for either region given the state of schilling's studio)
God of War 1 and 2
Virtue's Last Reward (that one is a wish more than something that will actually happen)

Are there any PSP fighting games we haven't gotten yet?

Why do people complain about EU games? I just make an EU account, find some free PS+ trials for Europe on the internet, and sign up and download the games to play on my main American account.

Because not everyone will be able to finish all dem games in two weeks or however long the trial is for. I'd be lucky if I finished one in that time.

This is always an option too.

I do hope the HD versions come to PS+ too, since I've never played either. I could definitely see it happening at some point, but who really knows for sure.

Oh yeah I forgot that you could use the emulator to play off the disc. Only thing is I've only got access to an iMac. I believe that this iMac is powerful enough but I'm going to do some forum lurking to see how compatibility is. Thanks for the reminder! I still want it on PS+ too.

Depends

Do you like Fighters, it's a haven for you

If you don't... yeah

There's only one fighting game offered in May out of five games. Four of which are Vita compatible.

I've said it before, but EU's offerings, while high profile, are also games many have played rather than titles we may have missed. I, like others have said here, own or have played every title they announced for June except Amalur. That wouldn't exactly be an awesome month for me.

Out of curiosity, were you playing on a TV with polarized or shutter glasses?

Nah, ever since IGN gave out a shit ton I haven't seen any for America.

For a european account however, here is 2 places to get 30 day trials (you cannot stack trials unlike America, but you can use it right after the first one expires)

Requires Facebook

Sign up for Eurogamer, make as many accounts as you like.

Hah thanks but I really wanted it the other way around. I'm EU+, gladly paying for it but I'd like and try US+ just for a couple months before making a full commitment decision. Thanks anyways my man.

Doesn't change the *fact* that the quality of games is much higher in one region than another. So because they're better games, it means people have played them, thus the service has less of a worth? That's kind of a gigantic leap in logic, isn't it? :p

I'd rather they offer games that have more universal appeal, even if I have them already, than ones that don't. It's like getting scraps off of EU's table, and it sucks.

Quality is subjective rather than factual, but for the sake of the argument I'll concede that EU's offerings tend to be more widely popular overall. It's still no leap of logic to prefer US Plus' offerings. Consider the same if it were movies. Imagine two services, both which give you the same number of movies a month; one gives you mostly blockbuster movies you've already seen or own with some smaller art-house stuff, the other gives you at least one big movie a month but focuses more on overlooked yet still acclaimed indie films. A film-buff who goes to the movies often would not be irrational in preferring a service that gives him new experiences over movies he has already seen, regardless of how popular the movies he's already seen are.

Panasonic VT20. Shutter.

Fair enough. I thought perhaps frame drops were more noticeable on a polarized TV than on shutter glasses given the latter's alternating nature, but guess not. I concede I may simply be more forgiving of frame drops than others.

Dude, I'm a huge FG fan and even I'm unimpressed with all these fighters, especially for the freaking Vita/PSP.

Just feels like every other update has something related to fighter's genre

I'm not asking for Day 1 $59.99 titles, but PS+ could use some balance

EU PS+ does have killer line up most of the time
I play their titles first due to the ticking clock of next month countdown and account ending
Usually PS+ US takes a backseat, cause most of it is not interesting (to me), it's just I'll get to it eventually mentality (does help I'm good till close to that start of 2017 lol)

Hell I've been overlapping new accounts on a monthly basis and have paid $0 since November 2012
I enjoyed playing Hitman Absolution, a game that I would never buy, but what the hell, why not give it a shot (got the Platinum, which built up a little confidence in the series)
Now I want to go get the Hitman Trilogy HD edition, due to me missing out on it

Thing is Pubs are more hesitant in the US with how the eco-system works here on tittles, so they don't do what they do in the EU, where they know if after a few months, sales will drop like a fucking rock
In the US retail is strong (Gamestop/Best Buy/Walmart) so you have to appease them and not undercut them
Then at least with retail the price gets staggered for months

So far Retail DD titles get shined very heavily for SCEU, SCEA tries to get scraps of defunct PSN titles that have communities that are paltry/dead and hope they can inject new life, but most of the time, it's dead within a few weeks after release

As you can see what EU is getting for June, that shit looks ridiculous to most
Has NA ever matched it any month or surpassed it

Most likely we will be getting GOW I & II due to the PS Store glitch that was live for a few hours to combat Ico/SOTC

Now clue what will match up with Kingdoms

Demon's/Rayman most likely will be matched with throw away titles from the PSN library, no way they are giving away that many PS3 titles

Also most forgot, the 52 weeks titles will get refreshed, will NA use that as a ploy to make some games be a June + 52 week refresh title
While EU will have all that + 52 week title refresh

Just curious -- has anyone used the SEN store and Paypal checkout on iOS? I want to buy a friend a game for some local multiplayer, but don't really have any faith that his computer is anything but a breeding ground for malware on which I feel uncomfortable keying in any of my credentials.

I can also use my laptop if need be, but if I don't have to cart it over to his place if need be.

I agree. US has much better sales as compared to EU. EU gets better free content. This week we are getting another mega sale. Contents unknown as of now.
