I don't give a shit about CoD, but being the first to show the first CoD Next-Gen is going to be huge for Microsoft, at least in USA-UK.

3/4 games is enough for an hour reveal of system, not just one. If they have so much for E3 then it doesn't make sense to show just one title at a event where the world press and gamers will be tuned in. See what happens Tuesday I guess
 
Listening to Major Nelson. They started talking about CoD and said from Infinity Ward.... Directly after MN said "INFINITYYYY Ward". Hmmmmm.
It was about 15:30.

Also, in no way does it sound like CoD will be the only game there. Its just the most obvious one that will be there.
 
Maybe they want to split up the CoD and Titan showings to minimize awkwardness on stage? :P

Hmm, good question. I definitely got the impression that they meant games, though. They were talking about how important games were, seeming also to shutdown any notion at all that graphics weren't important. Someone also suggested to Greenberg on twitter that all we'd be seeing was Kinect, Apps and COD, and Greenberg clearly suggested we'd be seeing far more than that.

Would he really say what he said if we were going to get just a single game showing that amounted to COD?

They also could just be confirming COD because, as of now, it's the only game actually confirmed for the event. Could be a bit of selective cherrypicking of what to say and what not to.

Would be pretty incredible if they talked about all the media features for 55 minutes and then:
"And of course the nextbox will also play games..."

5 minutes of Call Of Duty Ghosts - show is over.

I'm mostly excited for Alan Wake 2 and I really hopey we get at least a short teaser for E3.

Okay, so it sounds like there will be more than one game, but not many big reveals or game demos. Ghosts will likely be the only live gameplay demo, the rest will likely be short teasers/sizzle reels.

Not surprising, this is something I've expected from day one. PGR5 had better be there or I'll be pushing over a shitload of magazine racks.

I wouldn't be surprise if they do only show COD as the only major game there. Microsoft is probably going emphasize on the entertainment side and probably kinect and indie games.

Pretty much what I've been thinking. Such a short span between this should be good.
 
pretty hyped for the reveal event, even took the day off to watch it and all the pre/post game coverage... but still a few levels of hype to go before I could tollerate listening to Major Nelson's podcast again though...
 
Sounds like we are getting an in depth look into the making of the "platform". So they will talk details I guess? And yeah I said that before, if they do not show much games people will post gifs and point fingers ... I personally don't care but I think it's premature and stupid. But hey, the internetz.

knack gameplay and kz4 gamplay...then just a lots of teasers

They also said lots and lots of exclusives at E3 too.

I've typed out what Aaron Greenberg said on the podcast:
We're really going to tell one story across two events. So we're going to start on the 21st and really that's about revealing the next Xbox platform, really our vision for the future of games, the future of entertainment. We definitely have a lot of surprises planned. I know everyone knows the Infinity Ward team is hard at work on world premiering the next Call of Duty Ghosts so we're going to see what that looks like for the first time. People are going to get a great inside look at really the making of the new platform and the team that's brought it to life. I mean to be honest it's really about the team, the people here, that's why we're inviting people to campus, we're going to bring them behind the scenes a little bit, we've never done this before and so it's really exiting to be able to do that. But I think it's a lot of laying the foundation, probably the best way to describe it, and then just a couple of weeks later we go to E3. E3 is all about the games.

Holy shit this thread is like walking in on Golem from Lord of the Rings having a discussion with himself.

People are trying to grasp at any sign of info that they possibly can because MS has had this shit on lock-down since day zero. I don't blame you, but assumptions are never good.

Of course E3 is going to focus on games more than this debut event, but to think this event will have nothing besides Ghosts is kind of crazy. This event will most definitely focus on the OS/features, because that's the biggest thing that needs the most explanations, but the games will be there too.

It's great to hear that E3 will be completely game-focused though. The stressed use of the word exclusives perked my ear especially.
