Hudmo helped make it, but said that beat was worked on by a ton of people so hit boy coulda been on it too.

Everything since Encore has been progressively worse. I remember before Recovery came out he said he was proud of Relapse but that it was 'just a bunch of rap records' and Recovery would be something serious, back to shit like eminem show.
Then Recovery ended up having more shitty throw away 'rap records' than Relapse, it was practically the entire album! Almost every track was corny shit meant to sell to the twitter generation. Nothing was personal except the proof tracks, everything was vague pop content and REALLY bad puns that stupid people think are good (window pain/pane ugh).
I think he just doesn't seem to understand what people loved about his earlier albums. He wants to act like he's back to being a serious emcee so he forces this incredibly monotonous yelling voice on every track, but it's completely unnecessary and annoying.
The way he writes now is god awful with forced multi's all over the place, amateur-like flows worse than a young talib kweli, unmemorable beats. I could get into why and do a comparison of his older styles with new and why he is flat out bad now but I'm already getting upset thinking about how bad he fell off and not being able to understand why.

I think your original statement on sounding like nine inch nails is more correct. Downward spiral era for sure.
I changed it to Manson because of the guitar chugs and the drums. Sounds like a Manson sample. But the synth and scream FX definitely sound like NIN downward Spiral, agreed.
