After watching that GT video, I couldn't agree with Jeff more. I bought a 360 because of the promise of Mass Effect and Too Human. Sure, the latter didn't come to fruition, but Mass Effect ended up being one of my favorite games of all time. That kind of goes with TES IV: Oblivion as well.

So you're saying that games are better solely on graphics to have fun and what determines a game to be better? I had more fun playing Gears of war than I did with any Kill Zone title and still remember the frustration on some of its level design and controls with two.

Killzone 3 is being rendered at 720p with MLAA.

COD: Ghosts is a cross-gen game with a next-gen up-port. It won't even come near KZ:SF.

I also have my doubts about this new engine of theirs.


Crysis 3 on consoles is pretty ugly.

Anything can happen with CoD: Ghosts, it could look like the same old shit or blow everyone away. Activison has all the money in the world to come up with something impressive.
Killzone: Shadow Fall looks really good, lets hope that the game itself will be a whole lot better than KZ3, this game was a huge letdown for me.

Crysis 3 on 7 year old consoles looks not so hot, yeah. But the same game could look and run phenomenal when Crytek make a port for the next-gen consoles.

The 12 GB of RAM is the one thing that makes it seem unlikely to me. It would only be a very mild performance increase and would have cost a lot to implement. I can see the increased bandwidth numbers happening though. A move up to 20CUs is huge but not out of the realm of possibility but I am still expecting less than 20 (but more than 12).

I misunderstood, I though you said that you didn't see the logic in expecting CoD to take a hit graphically due to the higher frame-rate.

BTW I'm really curious to see the next gen CoD and if they changed anything animations and enemy AI wise.

I think Crysis 3 is just terrible. I bought the game on day 1 for $60 + tax and it is the worst game I have played this year.

KZ looked great but the CoD series for me was really gorgeous too. I don't think its a slam dunk what was the best looking shooter this gen honestly. Hell, Halo 4 was beautiful and sometimes I think that was the best looking shooter I played. Regardless, this is a weird tangent and I'm not gonna spend too much time on it.
