It would have been cool had they done this thing earlier when Chris Hadfield was still at the ISS and coordinated something with that. Hadfield first to play new Xbox from space.

Assuming Paul Thurrot's information is correct (likely) then I could definitely see MS announcing a $299 model with a subscription and a $499 model.

No pricing will be announced. That's what E3 behind close doors meetings are for. E3 is a business meeting with their channel partners. They will be talking pricing & marketing, etc at E3 behind closed doors. It give the channel partners a chance to work out the details & then announce price, etc most likely 2-3 months before launch. Xbox 360 pricing was generally announced in September. They won't announce pricing until they have had time to discuss it with their partners.
