And HBO went ahead and reminded me of the True Blood cliffhanger too. Sam didn't drop the dagger, he gave it to HBO execs which proceed to stab and then twist it in us all.

This is why I like netflix.

Okay I've calmed down a bit.

Other observations:

Granny Tyrell still rocks with her breaking down the family when everyone is married.

Joffrey has raised his cunt level to epic degrees now, was great to see Tyrion knock him down a bit again.

I was afraid Gendry was going to die but seems no. But Stannis has put in 3 deaths now, I wonder why Balon Greyjoy though? Am I forgetting something from previous?

All I know is if those shadow dudes show up again it's lights out for my beautiful Robb Stark but it's a sacrifice that must be made if it means Joffrey dies.

edit: Oh and forgot, Dany still got a phat bum.

He named all the remaining so-called Kings of Westeros. Remember, he said they'll bend the knee or he'll destroy them. Robb calls himself King, Joffrey, and now Balon I'm guessing as well. Did we ever see that? All he said was 'No one gives me a crown'.

If some stupid smoke monster shit kills Robb or he's hit by some bolt of lightning I'm going to be pissed, I don't care if Joffrey goes as well, but I like Robb, and this lord of light shit has gone on too long.

Ah makes sense, gotcha.

And hey I bend a knee all day for Robb but if he's what stands between Joffrey's death I'll sadly have him fall on his sword.

That was a great episode but fuck waiting 2 weeks damnit. Glad you guys cleared up that dagger thing couldn't remember where that came from. Hope they don't run to far before picking up.

Dany @____@ goddamn... great episode fuck this show should be 4 hours per ep :P I was noooo at the credits...

so much booty. :P

You guys are so weak complaining about a 2 weeks wait. :P When i watched Fringe, there used to be a month wait between 2 episodes sometimes.

Damn that was a good episode. All the Kings Landing and Stannis stuff was great.

The power behind Tyrion's remark to Geoffrey gave me chills.

i love the dialogue for the show and especially tonights, but i have to admit i'm a little disappointed in the lack of action this season. i was expecting more blackwater type episodes now that we're near the end. anyways though, it's still awesome.

That song Cersei mentioned, is the same tune that was playing last week as Jaime and Brienne left Harrenhal. It's apparently the Lannister song.

Do the Starks have their own music as well? I know the show has certain tunes you can pick up for example, that Theon/Robb beheading or the White Walkers music/foreboding tune. But I mean a House Song as well?

Stop acting like that was the one and only dagger, please. Dragon glass is obsidian, there is more.

I think it's people freaking out in a "Sam's already seen like 1,000 white walkers and he finally discovered something that could kill them/defend his family, but he leaves it behind like an idiot".

Why are these threads so large but there are so few posts during and immediately after the broadcasts? I remember LOST threads that were out of control.

Well there aren't any commercial breaks so it makes it hard to post during the show. I'm not sure what the overlap is with the Mad Men audience, but I watch it immediately after, tough to write too many thoughts down.

So did Stannis just let Davos out so he could show them what they're doing? Thought he was actually turning the corner, looks like he's just going deeper.

This is the one episode you didn't want to see anyone have sex. We didn't want to see Robert's bastard have sex because we thought he would die and we didn't want to see Tyrion have sex because neither him or Sansa wanted it.

So that dagger can kill those things and he just leaves it behind? The fuck? Are they common in the nightwatch? I really can't wait to see Joffrey die(assuming he does). Nice to see Tyrion bring him down a bit though. He seems to be the only one to have the balls to do it. I guess it's because he kind of is one of the few people who can.

didn't he find a whole stash of them?

Sam is a coward though, he's been portrayed that way since the beginning. He acted brave for a brief moment and slayed the white walker, and then likely pissed his pants as he ran away. Probably not too much logic in his thoughts during that sequence.

It's explained both when Stannis visits in the dungeon and right before he throws the leeches in the fire. Davos made him skeptical about the power of king's blood, so a demonstration was needed before sacrificing Gendry.

During that Sansa I was expecting something bad finally happening to Joffrey but was sadly disappointed that whatever Melissandre did has yet to happen. If something bad happens to him, I'd be so happy. I know he has done worst stuff to other people but what he did to Tyrion and Sansa was cruel.
The white walkers are very strong and will probably be the ultimate threat to the seven kingdoms so I was very disappointed that Sam just left that special dagger there. And the new ally of Daenerys can't be trustworthy. I think she said it best that why should she trust him if he killed his... whatever those two guys were to him.

I'm guessing since Davos is a smuggler, and just lost a son, Gendry seems like a good fit for him to "smuggle" out of there and become a surrogate father to. That seems like it would be a pretty cool story for both of them. But then again, I'm just trying to convince myself Gendry won't die :(

Also, the guy who plays the Hound is an incredible line reader. He seriously makes every bit of dialog awesome and entertaining

Sam dropping the dagger... LOL dammit Sam!

Cool episode. Cersei has raised her asshole level. The chicks in this show are very hot.

Edit: I'm also not liking where Gendry is at.
Yep, two characters who make me grind my teeth whenever they're onscreen. Both actors have nailed that smug, a-hole behavior to a tee. Two characters I love to hate.

Dany is building herself quite the army also. They had me because the character who's name is escaping me now looked a lot buffer at their meeting with Dany than when he did entering the encampment.

Also, it's not like I forgot how hot she is but damn Dany looks so good in the nude :) I felt so bad for Tyrion when Joffrey took away the little step stool and making a mockery of him on his wedding day. The look on Shae's face when she realized nothing happened between him and Sansa was pretty cool too.

And Sam.... ohhh Sam. Dropping the one weapon that destroyed the Walker and running off without going back and reclaiming it. You damn fool *shakes fist*

God, I'm going to miss this show when the season ends...

Melisandre & Daeny scenes and Joffrrey acting all fatherly to Sansa and taunting Tyrion alone made this one of the top episodes out of all three seasons.

Fuck, Robb better not die to some black magic, but it seems likely now that Arya is nearly reunited with them :(

I miss Thoros and Baeric already though.

I don't know why but watching them ride through the countryside I just thought of some sort of serial show where sansa and The Hound just sort of ride around westeros getting into trouble.

Hound Who

I laugh when The Hound says "Fuck Joffrey. Fuck the Lannisters!"

The hound is going to be rich after giving Arya back, or giving him an honorary title among the Starks.

Do the Starks even know Sansa is getting married? When Jaime is back to King's Landing, they can't give Sansa back since she is a Lannister now and Aria is about rejoin them.

Dany is totally gonna bone Dario, isn't she? She was giving him look the minute he showed up.

Probably some stupid love triangle storyline with Jorah. It's been building for a while, Jorah is not going to like another random stranger come sidle up to the Khaleesi, especially a handsome one.
