MS got next-gen FIFA first and only on X360 and two PES ahead of the PS3. Europe (-UK) didn't give a shit. Wondering what will happen this gen.

I don't think they will have a deal like last-gen though.

There are a lot of, um...vehement Sony fans on here, no question, but to say there is a vast majority of people who only like one console/brand isn't really true of course. Like I said, it was just a joke in response to another joke.

Either way, this isn't the time or place to discuss it.

The 360 did a lot better than the OG Xbox though.

I asked zombbqq or whatever his name is, who has access to gfk/chart track numbers and it hasn't happened yet but will definitely happen this year. You can bet MS will announce it.

That site that's banned has 360 ahead, but then he pulls numbers out his ass so to be expected.

They also had all those SE published exclusive RPG's and didn't make a dent in Japan. I think it'll take more, but it's still good for awareness. What they need is exclusive DLC for Fifa, then Europeans might take note, unless the PS4 version ends up being superior. Then it's anyone's guess.

So with COD and FIFA, and maybe Forza/PGR5 all but confirmed for tomorrow; is the Greenberg quote about tomorrow being not as much about games a misdirection?

Thing is, MGS is the heart and soul of Konami now. Konami would be willing to show any amount of MGS, they wouldn't have time constraints for their biggest series. Next Xbox reveal though is quite different, developers have to make exciting footage that lasts a few minutes. Makes sense that Kojima would make a Durango demo.

Would be even better if it was a reboot of Silent Hill, open world horror, Durango exclusive, launch title.

You guys are getting a bit ahead of yourselves I think. I would love to see some of these games there but I'm keeping expectations in check. Cod and Fifa are the only ones confirmed, don't set yourselves up for disappointment.

According to Pachter on average a console owner is going to bring in about $1000 revenue to Microsoft over the length of their ownership of the console. So a million extra sales is a billion in revenue.

from that tweet and the business trip one, I get the impression he is editing a short clip for a video reel so I wouldn't be surprised if we saw something. I'm not expecting a lot of on-stage guests or gameplay demos but MS is fond of highlight teaser reels

You guys don't really think those leaked specs were true do you? This is MS they never put out weak hardware. Chances are high that they leaked those specs on purpose as a bait and switch. Leak low specs, Sony makes a box to counter those low specs, MS comes out with their real hardware and blows Sony out the water. MS and AMD have a great relationship, so AMD would definitely give MS some amazing hardware.

No not at all. If this is what they're showing off in the reveal, they must have some serious software lined up for E3. It sounds like this will be more about detailing the system and what it's initially capable of as provided by Activision/EA/1st parties. E3 will be a games blowout to better describe what to expect at launch and in the launch window.
