Those hardware specs are pretty much close to what we will get.

It would be so nuclear it's absolutely impossible. It makes zero sense on the financial side for EA.

PS4 selling 400k copies (20% attach rate on a 2m userbase) = 24 million revenue at $60 a pop. That's chump change for Microsoft, it's easily worth it to them to offer EA north of 50 million

I hope so. I was disappointed with Madden's transition to the 360. Lost all of its features for a minor graphical upgrade at best. I hope EA has learned from their mistakes with console transitions.

But it's played with keyboard and mouse... It's hardly playable with a pad. Some games just are PC games.

MSFT has been very innovative in the UI accessory standpoint lately (See MSFT Surface), so I wouldn't be surprised if they came up with a good wireless couch solution for keyboard/mouse combos. Not saying it will be included, but hey, combine it with Kinects voice commands, it may be crazy what they can come up with.

Having FIFA 14 as a Next-Gen exclusive wouldn't necessarily be very expensive in terms of lost sales as the PS4 version would likely only sell a few hundred thousand copies.

Unless the platform is deemed not viable (hence WiiU) with no userbase right now and a low one at launch, EA 'could' argue that PS4 isn't viable (they'd be talking BS and know it) and I don't know if it'd work but we'll see I guess. That or it's 6 month timed exclusive.

I'm not saying it's going to happen but in actuality, financially speaking the start of a new gen is the best time to pull such a move. All consoles start at zero market share so how much can they possibly lose? A nice green bag can surely make up the difference.

FIFA's pressence is just about mind share. You tie the idea of mass market appeal titles to the 360/Durango, and you position the console in people's minds as the mass market system.
