a rather shitty job, but in a hurry !

Expectations hitting a low when I'm realising the short space of time they have even for games could just be painfully elongated demos of Fifa, COD, and something else my eyes have seen before but in less than 1080p hallumi-room mode :/

I think this is the most likely case.

For a one hour reveal, MS is sure cramming this full of content.

Specs, revealing the actual box, talking about the OS, lots of "vision" talk, IllumiRoom, CoD, Fifa and a few more unconfirmed/rumored games (PGR, Alan Wake, etc). There's going to be no time to breathe during this thing!

Kojima won't be there. What the hell are you on.

You guys don't really think those leaked specs were true do you? This is MS they never put out weak hardware. Chances are high that they leaked those specs on purpose as a bait and switch. Leak low specs, Sony makes a box to counter those low specs, MS comes out with their real hardware and blows Sony out the water. MS and AMD have a great relationship, so AMD would definitely give MS some amazing hardware.

Yes i'am expecting a 8870 hybrid 4tflop Gpu
256mbesram = 16gb ddr3 and 16 core CPU

and the secret sauce is DirectX12 features so it will be a whole gen ahead of PS4

you guys are thinking to low

No, what's to say the IllumiRoom they use as part of the setup for the event tomorrow isn't just a concept?

Your point being?
His earlier tweet explicitly states that IR is vaporware and MS has no plans to make it.
His recent tweet suggests the complete opposite, and that it will be at the event tomorrow. His sources are a bit iffy, no?

Sure it's not you reading it wrong?

Seems like a month ago he was confident IllumiRoom didn't exist (outside of concept) but now his sources or whoever have stated otherwise.

No, he was saying it's a project MS are using to test out ideas and showcase their abilities and visions. It exists and is usable but it's not a retail product. It may morph into one at a later date but MS have many such projects. They often cherrypick features and roll them together or into other products where they see potential.

I'd like to just put it out there... if Fifa is exclusive that is a megaton. League of Legends isn't.

I don't play Fifa and it won't matter to me, but that would be huge.

Yes FIFA, this got 100 times better.
I am quite certain that the unprecedent partnership is with EA, and FIFA might be a timed exclusive, which is huge.

Guys are insane in the other thread. I said MS has new studios and they think all of them are working on kinect only lol.

They cry doom and gloom, swear that MS has abandoned the core gamer (which is completely untrue) and they think everything will be Kinect based. It's the weirdest thing I've ever seen from a fanbase. It's like Justin Bieber's hardcore female fans crying about how horrible he is and how much of a sellout he is....why are you even fans if you're just going to simply be negative all the time?

It can be vaporware and still be at the event for various reasons, I don't see his two tweets that contradicting.

You read too much in a tweet. What he said implies that IR will be part of the next xbox.

According to Pachter on average a console owner is going to bring in about $1000 revenue to Microsoft over the length of their ownership of the console. So a million extra sales is a billion in revenue.

Now subtract the exclusivity deal amount added to whatever EA comes up with possible "lost sales" due to exclusivity, and that billion dollars shrinks very, very fast. I don't see a good ROI for FIFA for a billion dollars IMO.

If Fifa was a next gen exclusive, it'd be the biggest megaton Microsoft could possibly score for Euroland. I agree with you that League of Legends, not so much.

again with this story against LoL ....league of legends would be a megaton too...

new to the console market but a megaton :)

No need to be ironic dude! Make fun of us Xboxliebers all you want, but when they announce the hardware and it's not those hilariously weak specs and the secret sauce is real. I expect a 3 page apology to both GAF and MS for doubting them.

Believe in Don

But his earlier tweet clearly states MS has no plans to actually make it. Would be strange to use it in some manner (be it concept or prototype) if that were the case.

To get me to buy a next gen console i need to see games i cant already play on my ps3 and 360. Does anyone believe the first next gen sports games will be greatly superior than the ps3 and 360 versions?

Yeah but you picked the number of 1 million out of thin air. What if it leads to 5 million more sales? Anyway, I'm not going to pretend to know what ROI they might expect if such a deal was to happen I was just answering your question about what 1 million more sales would mean.
