I played a LOT of Animal Parade. I've even won the Harvest King to be my mate lol. The game's fun surprisingly with a coherent plot too.

I just realized that the helmeted villagers are actually themed like a hero group and numbered from 1-4. Kid Cat, Agent S, and Big Top. Now a new gorilla.

Does anyone know if Nintendo plans to out a demo on eshop?

I was thinking about buying the game, but I'm not sure if I'll like it.

Hopefully GameStop does a B2G1 this summer. I would love to pick up FE & MK7 too.

No demo.
A demo for this would be very weird... It'd either be extremely limited in what you can do or have almost as many options as the actual game which would be a too much for a demo.

This is a really bad "demo" game. You can't play it for 30 minutes and then know if you like it or not (you probably won't). It's a slow burner. Something you play everyday to see the life in your torn progress, the seasons changing and so on. It's a really relaxing game where you can do ANYTHING you want.

If that is something you might like, I definitely recommend getting it

Heh. I almost feel like we should add "OT is coming soon; already has an author" to the title of this thread with the amount of times it's been asked.

LOL at the idea of demoing Animal Crossing. How would they even do such a thing?

Interestingly enough.... this is mentioned in the "intend to buy" survey on Club Nintendo.

2. Tell us all the sources of information where you saw or heard about Animal Crossing: New Leaf? Select all that apply.

Download service (trial version)

May not be as far fetched as we think...

Harvest Moon: AWL for the gamecube is on my top ten favorite games. That game was just such a trip.
Was farming ever viable in that game? All I could remember was digging for stuff in spring, 30 radishes in summer for sashimi and then sashimi forever.

The only HM game I ever got into was FoMT; I'm hoping another game can come close to it.

My younger self got very frustrated with it after my cow died and I forgot to water my crops. I should go back to it some day, I liked it to that point. Married Muffy, had a kid.

MM is probably my most played HM, however. Got super far in it, got married, my character had a kid, fully upgraded my house, had a ton of diamonds and crops all over the town.

Possibly a clever way of making a demo would be like you're visiting a pre-made town and it turns out to be meta-joke of the animals and people living there,
telling you about the features of the game.

Iwata(or Reggie) could be the mayor of this town. It could seem a little.. surreal though, telling you to buy the game,
rather than playing it for yourself as it has so many features.

It would be more of a demo of telling rather than showing.

I LOVED the Gameboy Color Harvest Moon (I think it's even on 3DS eshop or is coming eventually).
I remember if you did well enough at the end of a year you got some really good item. I got screwed out of the Umbrella that makes it rain during the first year. Would have saved me ages watering my plants. :(

It was a little light on content if I remember right. After year 3 or 4 after you've upgraded your house all the way and gotten the farm as good as it will get there wasn't anything else to do.

Alright it took up most of my work break, but I finally added everyone from that spreadsheet.

I'm rather curious of how spotpass stuff works for this game...

So what is the Streetpass/Spotpass functionality of this game? I've been on a media blackout so far for this. Can anyone link some info pretty please? It comes out literally the day before I head out to Disney World and I plan on getting a shit load of streetpassing done.

I'm actually kind of torn between getting digital or a physical copy. I actually have quite a few retail games as digital and it makes perfect sense for AC but I like being able to play asynchronously in the same town as I did for WW (the online did nothing for me) and I'd like to be able to pass on my cart to my friends without lending my entire 3DS.

I know that nintendo will send out model homes for the showcase area via Spotpass, it was in an Iwata Asks. Hopefully they'll send out items too.

Just added to the spreadsheet, going through and adding people now.
This is the first time I'll be trying out the online features in AC, should be fun.

Ah, many thanks for the replies, I haven't really had a chance to look at the Direct or those Iwata Asks.

I am seriously hoping I can get my mother into this kind of game with the cutesy and "casual" atmosphere that it gives off.

Why can't june 14th come quicker?
So hyped for this game, but I don't want to kill my hype by playing an older AC.
Thankfully the last week is the E3 week!

Just rewatched the two 3D trailers on my 3DS and man, the 3D is really good in this game. And I normally never use it!

Will probably end up end up getting this day 1. Gonna add myself to that list and register everyone there.

Playing this throughout the summer sure will bring back memories of the summer I spent with wild world back in 06, good times.
