So, place your bets. IF there is a new Halo announced tomorrow, what will it be?

Halo 4 expansion (ODST style)
Halo 2 Anniversary
Halo Wars 2
Something new/different

My vote is for something ODST like with new SP and Halo 4 MP. That is, if there even is a new Halo game, which Im not expecting.

How would that even work though on the new xbox? Maybe an upgraded version of the Halo 4 engine for the new console?

Don will applaud himself as he walks on stage and immediately remove the cover from the new Xbox.

Boom. 30 seconds in and Console shown.

I still think this is best case scenario for the start of the show.

  • Show starts.
  • Lights go black.
  • From the darkness, "Xbox, Turn On!" (hopefully that's a new feature of Kinect)
  • BOOM! All of the screens light up, the Xbox boots and we see its boot animation.
  • In the center, a rising pedestal raises up, and a bunch of spot lights shine on the console and its hardware. It is glorious!
  • Attention turns back to the screens where we see the OS. Don Mattrick walks out, he gets automatically signed in by Kinect, and we jump into some games (or most likely, a fancy powerpoint).

I actually mentioned this a while ago. A new version of Halo 4 at 1080p/60fps, improved lighting and stuff like that. 2-3 additional single player levels etc.

F2P online game, but I'm not expecting it this early. Or wasn't, at least.

The fanfics have started!!! I'm excited!!!!

I do want a "made for console" MMO this time around. Something designed with the controller in mind, voice chat etc. I can really see that a made for console MMO could really work.

Haven't all Xbox presentations lately started with a Live Demo of the latest Call of Duty?

We need more fanfic to get us through the night.

My guess would be it being multiplat between 360 and Xbox Next, but prettier on the new machine with some other cool things added.

I suppose anything is an option if the game is Xbox Next only.

That would be interesting also.. do you mean a FPS or something else?

The Xbox 360's reveal with Elijah Woods as host was so incredibly awful. Flashing lights and a bunch of paid actors screaming and jumping up and down over the console box which was on a pedistal. Ugh so cringeworthy. I really hope Microsoft don't go down that route again.

this or bust. Come on MS, do something in style!

No idea. But I do think for the demos they are either going to demo CoD first, or a new first party IP first, followed by CoD.

While I personally haven't played through a CoD since Modern Warfare, I am interested to see what they have going for next-gen. I played the shit out of CoD2 which was a 360 launch title. I quickly bailed out once I realized how hard they were milking the franchise. However, if they make it look gorgeous, and have some new interesting mechanics, I would definitely be interested. I just hope that they slow down the MP a bit so I don't have to take a dose of speed every time I want to play.
