What does it matter if the games are revealed here or three weeks later at E3? In the grand scheme of things the only impression that is going to really matter is what consumers think when these things launch.

True to an extent, but I can't imagine any company bar that wouldn't headline their own hardware with their own software, what kind of message does that send consumers whose primary concern with the system is Microsoft's shambolic handling of 1st party content over the last few years?

You can't refuse.

This isn't true.

I would suggest you wait till E3 to see if the First/Third party selection is to your liking. Basing it off the reveal tomorrow will do you no favors.

Basic logic says, that tomorrow is suppose to be for the masses to let them know that their favorite BIG franchises are all going to be available for the this new Box.

The last time I checked the final standings of our most recent generation, the console with the weakest 1st party support and what was considered the strongest third party support, currently stands in last place.

This too, holds for handhelds.

Wrong, the PS3 first party support is fantastic.

Where did you check?

I guess it's promising that the E3 conference will seemingly be dedicated to software, but I still think they should go ful force with the initial, important impact of 1st party titles.

It would be stupid for them to blow their load at an hour conference that's supposed to talk about mostly the system just a few weeks from E3. Sony reserved there's to 2 new exclusive ip's and two exclusive familiar ip's. If Microsoft only shows one or two exclusives that's ok with me. I want to know about the system and any new features or gamepay elements. If after E3 they still don't show many exclusives (of interest to me) then I will be concerned.

So there are no leaks, blurry pictures, etc? Surprised there has been nothing.
Were there even any decent leaks prior to the PS4 conference?

Besides, after Orthgate they probably stepped up security quite a bit.

I think people underestimate the progress Microsoft made this gen.

Even with RROD they effectively tripled(or more) their market share in a single generation.

I just recall leaked images and mock ups of the 360 being out there before the reveal. Probably nothing for the PS4 as there was no final hardware yet I suppose. Other than the controller.

Xbox 1st party support isn't all that bad really, I mean in a business perspective. They only release a few games but most of them sell extremely good. Playstation has a lot of 1st party but it's more common to see them bomb than selling decently.

They also invest a lot in 3rd party support to have a lot of timed exclusives that although they seem insignificant, it gives the overall impression that it's the stronger platform.
