EA lying now?

WTF...

That cheque MS wrote must have been too good to refuse.

Hype level reaching maximum. The tent needs to deliver big things tonight. Sitting at work and can't concentrate on the work that needs to be done.

Battlefield is EA's biggest hope of matching/surpassing CoD marketshare. MS would have to pay an absurd amount to snag that exclusive. I doubt it'll happen.

Microsoft will want to beat the performance of its Xbox 360 which was first to market but lowest on the global sales leaderboard.

About 76 million Xbox 360s had been shipped by the end of March, according to research firm IDC. By contrast Nintendo's Wii had shipped 99.4 million units and the PS3 78 million.

However, the figures mask regional variations. Sony outsold Microsoft in Japan and continental Europe, but the Xbox proved more popular in the US and UK. It is also worth bearing in mind that demand for the Xbox 360 massively outstripped that for the original Xbox, so Microsoft can claim to have the most momentum.

Do anyone believe the (rumored) DVR capabilities of the Xbox 720 will disappear in five years time (in newer models) ?
Seems like a very smart plan for the short and medium term. Five years from now though I believe that streaming services like Netflix will rule the day.

Pretty pointless by Xbox but they posted a video of reactions of those who saw the Call of Duty Ghosts gameplay reveal today - http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=vHu5DoZGL4k

Why is Merrick
and Karmichael Hunt there??

Is that your average Australian CoD fan? Bogans and neckbeards, kill me now.

Well considering a few of them are big names in Australia I don't think so and than I can't help but feel if they are paid for reactions.

Parts manufacturers say components already shipping
Microsoft

microsoft.com

Reports from the suppliers of components destined for the new Xbox suggest that parts are already being shipped for manufacture, with orders expected to be ramped up significantly in the third quarter to reach a demand spike in Q4.

Speaking to the Digitimes, sources at various electronics plants have indicated that they expect a strong upswing in business as a result of the deal, improving the financial results for the manufacturers involved.

The report names a number of companies as parts suppliers, including Lite-On IT for the optical drives. Asia Optical and Newmax are thought to be providing lenses - presumably for the next iteration of Kinect, whilst Jentech Precision Industrial covers cooling.

The new machine is to be manufactured by Foxconn plants in China, which have been troubled with accusations of low safety standards, worker suicides and other employment rights issues, but remain the preferred agent for many global technology companies, including Apple.

What could that mean in regards of the launch date?

I have whined about this in other threads but please GOD let there be one cool looking true exclusive shown. Unfortunately Forza (or other non kart racers) aren't for me :(.

I wonder if they would show that Zombie game that supposedly is a launch title. That sounds the most interesting for me. Ryse I don't have much confidence in since Kinect and all but I'll give that a fair chance too.

We are going to get a long explanation of how the new box looks like it is exhaling or some bullshit.

I want to see fucking games today
