Now we're talking exclusive titles? Not timed DLC? Not game announcements to associate the Playstation brand with a particular IP?

The original argument was whether there were any next-gen game announcements at the PS4 reveal (Watch Dogs and Destiny were never confirmed for any particular next-gen console before then).

Furthermore, those announcements may not make you and me any more likely to buy a PS4. However, to the average, mainstream, "rest of the world" gamer, who aren't as knowledgeable about which games are exclusive for which platform, the mere fact that those games were announced in concert with the big PS4 event, and are now highly associated with the PS4 brand was enough to make the PS4 seem "more appealing to the 'rest-of-the-world' gamers." Which was the whole argument in the first place.

If people aren't confused by the new Xbox being called just 'Xbox', exactly like the first console, it suggests that audience is a lot more intelligent than idiot casuals not noticing the 'U' at the end of 'Wii'.

Also, despite being more of a Nintendo fan than anything, I'm looking forward to this. My second console after Wii was the 360 because I'm not a Sony fan, so if I get a second next gen console after Wii U it will be the next Xbox.

I think as long as it is labelled The New Xbox then it will be fine. just like the iPad.

I wasn't joking. The whole share to facebook was faked. Did you missed the part that the video on facebook was different, completely with logos and ESRB rating?


You can't expect that feature to be ready anyway with so much time left to release.

1.23tf - 1.6tf more likely the former.
Sizzle reel of EA titles - exclusive dlc ( but not dlc exclusivity)
COD ingame footage - large leap in IQ - masses shit bricks
Tech specs /services/apps/kinect
Sizzle reel of 1st party titles with some cryptic shit thrown in to keep people writing on forums.

Ends with Halo or Alan Wake 2

The league has teamed up with Microsoft on an exclusive app to bring schedules, standings, video highlights, play-by-play, game stats, cards and substitutions to Windows 8 Pro and RT. You'll also be able to get custom updates on your live tiles to see how your team is doing with a glance at the start screen. MLS and Microsoft said they're also bringing "fan and stadium experiences," like trying out Windows 8 on Microsoft Surface tablet at over 40 games during the season, and alluded to bringing "immersive soccer experiences" to players, coaches and fans down the road. We'll have to see exactly what they mean by that, but meanwhile, you can grab the app at the source.

You seem to be inferring that non-finalized code, or even non-existent code, means the aforementioned features that won't actually be present in the final console. You're also inferring that "80%" of the features demoed were "bullshit." For the latter, I'd like you to cite your evidence for the conclusion you came to; otherwise, I'd have to discount you as a credible source for any next-generation console information.

Anyway... wrong thread. Case closed. Let's see if MS does the same.

I wouldn't be surprised if they do. But even if they don't (at least not to the same extent), you might also want to keep in mind that MS has had 3 more months of development time to mature their console and its features.
