To be, or not to be

That is the question..

PGR > Forza. Anytime, anywhere.

That is the question..

well, Badned's comment saying more or less "oh, i never said FM5 won't be there on 21st.....dotsdotsdots..." must mean something..

But PGR5 is almost certain, so...both ?

unless Pgr5 was scrapped at last moment for not looking good enough :P

My predictions:

- Brief discussion over the Xbox history
- Durango specs are largely similar to what was leaked, with one or two differences (for the better) but MS will not focus on them much at all, instead on the look of the box
- PGR5 or some other racer is revealed
- Fifa 14 and Battlefield 4 are shown (the latter with on-stage demonstration), there is some sort of partnership announced with EA - but in regards to those two titles it is exclusive DLC/marketing and not platform exclusivity
- There will be a video which highlights some games we saw at the PS Meeting as also being available on the Durango (including Destiny)
- Some smaller/lesser known titles are revealed in trailer form (some will be nice surprises)
- There will be a video of developers gushing over the Durango tech
- There will be some Kinect 2.0/IllumiRoom/apps focus, but not as much as some are expecting
- The show will close with Call of Duty

Apart from the Kinect and Ilumiroom not being as much as people are expecting, I kinda agree with you.

Some predictions;
- CoD is the only game that gets any length of time.
- EA games are shown in a reel with cheesy music and fake cheering.
- Halo 4 appears to demonstrate Illumiroom or similar. Teaser for spinoff possibly in a reel.
- Don Mattrick is pleased with his efforts and feels he deserves a round of applause.
- People think the show's over then boom Alan WakE3.
- I don't sleep again tonight.

This conference will have succeeded if after watching it I no longer want to play PS3 and Xbox 360 games.

After playing a Dreamcast for the first time, there was a period where I no longer wanted to play my N64 games. Microsoft and Sony need to elicit that same feeling from us either now, at E3, or when we play kiosks for these consoles for the first time.

Okay girls I'm out until tomorrow. I can't wait to see what GAF is like tomorrow. I suspect many of you will be banned.

Stay messy.

Xoxo

Not likely, since the graphics won't be enough of a jump (at least not at launch) to evoke that first-impression of shock-and-awe. Mainly, it's due to the law of diminishing returns, but it's also the fact that many current-generation games already look pretty damn good (specifically the first-party titles).

When next-gen games start approaching Infiltrator-level of graphical acuity, then we'll finally be reaching the point where even the average gamer will be stunned by the graphical upgrade.

I highly doubt the new name will be just "Xbox" due to legal consequences.

Imagine your average consumer buying an old game with the wording "Xbox Compatible"

to later find out will not work with the new console, etc. You get the point :)

This exactly. They would never call it just xbox.

I wasn't joking. The whole share to facebook was faked. Did you missed the part that the video on facebook was different, completely with logos and ESRB rating?

You can't expect that feature to be ready anyway with so much time left to release.
False. You watched the wrong video on facebook. The feature is legit and works, it was exactly the same as the guy played it on stage as people saw he did. GiantBomb even confirmed it.

they are multiplatform titles, why should they sell more PS4s than Xboxes?
Why should they make me buy a PS4 instead of an Xbox (or just continue playing Nextgen on my PC)`?
Exactly the same as Xbox. FIFA, CoD and BF are also multiplatform titles, why should they sell more Xboxes than PS4s? Because mindshare.

My bet is on "Forza Next Generation" like they did with Kinect with very few details other than nice graphics.

GT has a livestream on its iOS app.

You don't even have to use it.
I had a backup stream running on my iPhone during the PSMeeting, in case my broadband crapped out, and Chrome on iOS ran the live-stream fine. Just select "cancel" when the site offers you its app (if you don't want it).

I doubt it will happen but I hope we get information about MS first party developers. Like, what's this supposed studio in Redmond? Where did the devs from Irrational go?

"May 21 10am PDT / 6pm BST: Xbox - A New Generation Revealed keynote
May 21 11am PDT / 7pm BST: GameTrailers.com post-show with the Mr G. Keighley and Don Mattrick."

Wasnt it said that the show would last 2 hours instead? Will there be any delay on the post-show thingie because of this?
