I doubt that. Launch games won't look much better than Killzone I think. CoD at least won't lol
If they bring out Halo or Alan Wake everything is possible of course.

I was eyeing up the new Nokia phones the other day. I also told myself I would remain console agnostic until both were launched. Genuinely excited for today's reveal, I am willing to jump on to your platforms this gen. At the end of the day I just hope the competition of MS and Sony, and the direction of their new platforms turn out to be good for gaming and moreover good for gamers.
That would be such a disaster if true. I think there will be a few today.

Should I miss school for this? I'm allowed to miss one day, but I'm debating between today and the Monday of E3. If I do go to school that Monday I'll still be able to watch EA, Ubi, and Sony; it'd just be Microsoft I'd be missing. E3 will have juicier games but this is exciting.

I started playing crackdown 2 again, there is just too much shit to do it that game and it is not that interesting. They also need a new city/area to explore.

I don't think so. Today is the night for third partys and the mainstream. E3 is the time for gamers. The mainstream press only looks to Xbox today, not at E3. So MS will try their best to wow them. You do that with big franchises.
It's just the smart thing to do business wise, especially with E3 right around the corner. Maybe they will piss a lot of hardcore gamers craving for new IPs off today, but they can easily win them back in two weeks already with new IPs at E3.
If they are smart, they have both on their side after E3.

It's only an hour long show. Aaron Greenberg said MS are saving the game megatons for E3. He also said the Reveal was going to concentrate on hardware and services etc. It doesn't take much to connect the dots and assume there won't be any new IPs shown.
Well, actually, they could show some new IPs as a teaser reel. I would anticipate something along those lines to help build hype (along with the showstopper Alan WakE3 announcement), but I wouldn't expect to see much in the way of new IPs in general.

Not necessarily true though. Even on PS3 and 360 together. A CoD game sells like to what? 15% of the total system owners? 15 million units between both systems? I have never bought the game. Never will either most likely. I think if you asked most people if they wanted something new and innovative or the same old, same old. They would say the former. Obviously something "new" isn't necessarily innovative and better than what has come before though.
Yeah, I think a split would work best. TBH, going for big new ip shock wow's at E3 is fairly meaningless, in terms of buzz for me, so I would prefer to hit mostly now with new ip's and perhaps hold back 1 or 2 for E3 if I was MS. I just don't see shockers translating into sales, so might as well hit very hard now, get some serious mindshare and then use E3 to consolidate rather than garner more.
TBH I guess I just don't see E3 as important. It's barely a mainstream event, everything is aggregated by tech sites anyway, following the beat of your own drum as a company just makes more sense to me.
GT has a 1-hour pre-show, the event itself, and then a 1-hour post-show. Same as they did with PS4.
