So even though Major Nelson really does represent the Xbox brand and is a major face of the company (and he knows it) what he says really doesn't matter... because he SAYS his tweets don't matter.

Gotcha.

Nope, not really. You're missing the point. One represents a person. The other represents a corporation. Look at the Twitter names.

You still haven't explained why the "slow news day" remark is a big deal, or even presented concrete proof that it was in any way directed against the Xbox reveal whatsoever.

Think you're confusing me with someone else. I never said it was a big deal. I was just correcting you.

Microsoft corporation thought their own event was two hours, but one of their employees corrected them! :)

Yeah, that's right! But it's a bigger deal when @Xbox says that as opposed to @MajorNelson. Which one is CNBC or CNN going to be watching, for example?

Let me break it down for everyone:

Sony marketing department makes light hearted jab acknowledging today is a big news day.

Major Nelson responds in kind.

At E3 and beyond, diligent businessfolks will be competitive professionally and usually friendly with each other. They will joke, congratulate and commiserate on successes and failures. They will drive home at night, thinking about work issues and imagining solutions. They will have dinner with their families. They will get up again the next day.

Life will go on.

MajorNelson just tweeted this:

If you are unable to tune in to #XboxReveal as it happens due to work / school commitments, I've got you covered here on Twitter.

Somebody was asking for twitter so I thought I should post it.

I'm sure this is the first time in history something has been posted in error and subsequently corrected. If not, my excitement for this event just went down the drain due to incompetent Micro$oft's lazy grammatical errors.

So if Mark Cerny or Kaz Hirai comes out on their personal twitter pages and says something to the effect of, "The new Xbox sucks, PS4 is where the generation really starts," there would be zero problem with that? Since they're just personal tweets not representing the company to which they are employed whatsoever.

Very impressive that there were no leaks at all.

Welcome back Ushae, didn't you take off to avoid leaks? Aside from the leak it looks like someone took over Redmond, there have been precisely Jack and Shit since you left. Several horrific rumors, but no leaks, thank God.

I think Frankie's on the verge of leaking something in this thread though, I can just feel it.
