(OH SHIZNITS) Devil May Cry 4 confirmed multiplatform PS3/360/PC

Sony has 150 'first party' games in development. For each DMC4 that gets goes multiplatform, there are probably 20 exclusives that are just as big.

You gotta punch it up a bit. For example:

The thousand first parties of the Sony empire descend upon you! Our exclusives will blot out the sun!

NOOOO :(

DMC4 will not be as awesome multiplatform

EXCLUSIVE GAMES > MPLATFORM GAMES

Considering Nintendo has a very strong 1st party presence, this is really going to be interesting. It seems everyone's 1st party is getting up there.

Either way, I agree with what someone above said. The Wii is likely going to get many third party games. Will that make it a winner? I dunno, might, but you can never be sure.

That won't happen- they're already far into development. Kingdom Hearts and the next DQ looks Wii bound IMO.
Actually, they're not that far. Most of what they've been doing so far is scenario and design. Moving the project to a different platform, especially to a platform with smaller production budgets and shorter dev cycles, should still be possible...

What company said in an interview a while back last year that because of dev time and console costs they can make more money back going multi platform instead of single?
The majority of the large publishers?

And now they're searching Gamefaqs and other Playstation forums because they didn't get the reaction they expected here. :lol

Pathetic.

Au contraire, this thread has served up a great helping of GAF-quality hilarity.

How's them sour grapes, typhonsentra?

The thread that exposes all of the people that were secretly jealous of the PS3, CONFIRMED. :D

Like I said earlier... it's funny how many people wrote off DMC before... Ninja Gaiden is better, DMC gameplay sucks, story sucks, who cares, DMC isn't that big... Then you'll have these people declaring the death of Sony, and praising Capcom to epic levels... it's really sad... Then you have someone flat-out calling someone a fanboy...

This man speaks the truth.

I don't see how this isn't a big deal, though. Right now, Sony is having a tough time convincing people they should spend $600 on their console. Yeah, "3rd party support" in general isn't the selling point it was in the past, but there are certain titles that can have a rather large affect on things, and DMC4 was one of them. And its not even the fact that DMC4 is going to the 360. I think even the most hardened PS3 fanboy probably knew it would happen, but rather months after the PS3 version, or even a year later like the PS2 version of RE4. The fact that its releasing at the same time is a huge coup for 360 and a huge blow to Sony.

I think any game company would say that.

:lol Seriously, why is Sony losing all of these exclusives? That's a loaded question, and everyone knows what kind of bullets it uses.

Sony exclusivists before, during, and after.

Okay so is that what were going to use form now? "financially irresponsible" LMAO. I guess rumble is financially irresponsible right? Fact is that Microsoft is buying studios and multi plats like crazy and it's almost as if Sony is just "sitting there" and watching. Doesn't that make you kind of frustrated?

While I get your point, you fail on the bolded part.

Look at last generation (and some would argue, PS1). Sony has been growing internal parties, purchasing teams, and securing IP's with 2nd parties for years.

Whatever problems Sony has, internal development is certainly NOT among them.

Well there goes my hope for them optimizing it for the cell, lets hope it wont be horrible on ps3, shit and i looked forward to it since day one, i hope they dont pull a sonic on us.

Filling the request of someone earlier in the thread.

Add more tattoos as necessary. There's room on the head!

May I suggest the God of War symbol? It's not possible, but who knows, right?

I simply don't understand why some Sony fans somehow can't enjoy this game as much now that it's multiplatform.
Because the game would not take advantage of it's system strength.

That road works both ways, you know. This game has always been touted as one of the most significant exclusives that Sony held; all of the sudden, it's not relevant anymore because the evil competition has it.

You gotta remember while the first DMC did very well, the DMC series is not exactly a console pusher. DMC3 did poorly in Japan and so so everywhere else. DMC2 was bomba:lol. DMC ain't no MGS thats for sure. So Sony loosing a huge exclusive is not exactly true. And don't see why people are still surprised, there were so many hints along the way. Also again, expect to see LP and DR on the PS3 this year:D

We're almost two hours in and all this thread has so far are random gif collections and people "Preparing for meltdowns" that haven't happened and most likely aren't going to. It's mainly just a lot of taunting that hasn't had any effect.

If anything is upsetting PS3 owners, is that one more game has gone multi-platform, it's just one more reason they may have spent more money than they needed.

Like I've said from the beginning: you can take your DMC4, your GTA, your VF5, and even your MGS4 any freaking day. I will buy the system that has FFXIII.

If FFXIII is multi-platform then I will have a harder decision to make.

MGS isn't neither a system driver. FF is, but not Metal Gear. It's just fanboys meal.

that sony forum link ain't working. What's so hilarious?

There must be 30 threads ... and they make this place look sane.

When you've got threads like, "Capcom can burn in hell" ... you'd think the world was ending.
