The midnight release in US means 2am release for me.
I can feel that with the chunk of people getting it midnight, my download speed will be a disaster.
Ill bet ill only finish the download by morning
(But to be fair, when i got my WiiU i pluged it in at 4a.m., and the first update finished in less than 15 minutes - very fast for what most people say about the WiiU first update)

Since I'm going digitally and I think my SD Card that I got on launch is running low on space (or would be near full once ACNL is downloaded), I think I'm gonna need a new one. What would be a good choice to pick to make sure AC:NL runs fluidly and isn't terribly expensive? I've shopped for SD Cards before and what not but I just wanna be 100% safe that I don't waste any cash lol. Kind of looking to pick a 16 GB (just in case there's any other future titles I want digitally). So any recommendations? Would a Class 6 be mostly okay?

Hmm, I'll take it into consideration; I got some time before NL comes out so if it becomes cheaper I'll jump on it. And yeah.. 16 GB might not be the best choice because I also rarely buy games digitally.
Well, I'll think about the size stuff. Price + quality is what I'm mainly looking at right now.

16gb should be fine if you don't download much stuff. The class of card is how fast stuff writes to it. Class 4 = 4mb per second, class 6 = 6mb etc.
It really depends how much you're looking to spend, but class 6 is generally fast enough for most people
Not sure about other versions, but the Japanese one is apparently 8192 blocks (1gb)

If you don't know your time zone, please check that site. I'll be converting a LOT of NA time zones into GMT to make things simple. So we'd know which hours we're off from. This would help anyone OUTSIDE of NA too to know.

Does anyone know if AC:NL has that system where a bunch of weeds and people leaving occurs if you don't play everyday? That mechanic kinda turned me off from the GCN version as I didn't have the time to play it every day.

No problem, a few others like myself are cautious understandably after the whole spreadsheet fiasco went on and on. :\
If you buy the beautiful town ordinance, you don't get weeds when you don't play. I think people still can move out though.
