Kojima pulled alot for the PS3 in its doom days when nobody else wanted to help them with exclusive titles. Especially when they needed it.

I honestly don't mind if he goes multiplatform, but its going to be obvious which platform his games are going to sell on the most.

Edit: Adding The Last Guardian for PS4 just because

Honestly, I think any Japanese based game will wait for TGS for the unveil unless it's a big enough game to get people excited (Final Fantasy, KH, etc.) What other Japanese games could we see at E3 outside of what we know? I'm still crossing my fingers Sega shows up with Jet Set Radio 3. ;__;

Can someone point me to the PS Vita OT if there is one?

I want to talk myself into getting one. I think.

if crazy buttocks confirmed it, it's not a rumor, it's a fact. it's a xbox one game, with maybe 360 and pc releases.

also, stop talking about the last guardian guys, it's depressing :(

CoD is just the timed exclusive DLC deal continuing and EA Sports is just some exclusive DLC for FIFA. Fallout 4 I can see happening though and I expect MGSV to wind up with an exclusive next gen version on PS4, at least timed exclusive.

A MGS will not be exclusive to PS4 in any way.

What exclusives are Sony showing anyway? It's all about the games and Sony hasn't shown much.

Knack
DriveClub
Infamous
KZ
The Witness (also on PC)

and???

It's an amazing handheld, probably the last of it's kind. There are good games for it. It will be (presumably) used extensively as an interface with the PS4.

Just buy it. But avoid the 3G ones, I find it useless.

I have the feeling that we're all underestimating MS again.

I'm not expecting any first-party bombs from MS, because they haven't shown any of that this generation and I really don't think they can show anything that will blow us away. I am however, expecting third-party bombs. Perhaps a timed Bethesda, EA Sports, or CoD exclusive. It's a stretch, but it's a bomb.

I'd normally think the same, and I wouldn't put it past them to announce Fallout 4 or something on stage and get the expansion packs first, what have you. But I felt Microsoft made it clear yesterday that they have this new-found focus on first party games. If not by those 15 first-party exclusives mentioned at their press conference, then by this Phil Harrison quote.

Eurogamer: Will you continue aggressively pursuing exclusives?

Phil Harrison: I think it depends on the market, it depends on the game, it depends on the opportunity. But in addition to our relationships we've announced, within studios we have more exclusive games in development than at any time in our history. There are 15 products in development for launch within the first year of Xbox One, eight of which will be brand-new IP. We're investing over a billion dollars in new games for Xbox One.

IIRC Phil Spencer mentioned during the conference that it's the most games they've ever had in development and the most money they've ever spent on making games.

I don't even care about the game but if we don't see the Last Guardian I'm gonna flip some tables.

This is really interesting. I kinda would totally expect it to show but I don't think any insider has said a word about TLG. I really dunno what the situation is.

Well it certainly isn't coming to PS3 after the YOSP comments.

Aren't Respawn supposedly siding with XBone for their new title?

Other than that, list seems spot on.

Last Guardian has to show up.

Yea I would avoid 3G because I'd never use it. I don't play many games anymore but I'm sure I'll buy a PS4 at some point and might as well be out ahead of the curve and have the Vita for the added functionality it will provide.

I'm hoping that the Vita can get me back into gaming to a degree since I'll be able to use it while sitting at my desk. I've never owned a handheld before so there is the lure of that also. I haven't paid too much attention to the vita and gaming in general but over the last few days and inevitable e3 console hype-age has caught up to me.

If I can get one in the B/S/T thread for a good price I'll probably pull the trigger.

I thought he said he pretty much considers himself a multiplatform developer these days.
MGS5 at least is a multiplatform game. The days of him and MGS4 saving the day for Sony are clearly gone.

Doesn't rule out the possibility of co-marketing, DLC deals or even a PS4 only next gen version I suppose.

For those in the know, could you tease us with something interesting or juicy? I want to be even more hyped.

I want this, but then I kinda just want everything to be fresh for E3. I'm hyped for it. Not much longer now. I'm just taking it day by day chugging through the backlog.

Honestly there is so many things you can imply from what people and publishers have been saying lately that you can pretty much already see what will be at sony and ms events. Even the order it will happen and such. Its gonna be so good. :)

Are you 'In the know"? and if so it's for certain people excited for XB1 and PS4 will be very happy with what's shown?

Co-marketing and DLCs are in my opinion minor things. About a PS4 only next gen version I guess it's possible considering their audience, they know it would sell much more on PS4 anyway so why not taking Sony's money in the process :D
But I wouldn't bet on it...the impression I got is that Kojima really wants to broad his horizon and be recognized as an important multiplatform developer. He wasn't even that much enthusiastic about the PS4 anyway back in February. Of course it's not enough to tell the whole story....we'll see at E3 :P

Does M0dus have a good track record? Just curious.

Don't doubt.

I wouldn't take Kojima too seriously after the Phantom Pain stunt.

This is what I'm thinking: The game will come out on PS3/PS4/360 at the same time and then a few months down the line the Legacy Collection will hit XBO followed by MGSV shortly after that.

Just Cause 3 would be a great exclusive - but sadly, this is the type of title that I could see Microsoft money-hatting.
That studio is pumped for PS4. No way are they not releasing JC3 on it.

How would comarketing affect a Multiplat title?

Stuff like how the CoD commercials always have the Xbox logo on them, etc. MGS is a brand closely associated with Playstation and the sales will be lopsided for it anyway. Might as well market it to that userbase specifically and get the financial support from Sony.

An example of such being possibly Assassin's Creed 3?

Anything new from you Elios?

Nope but I'd like to ask a few friends what Ninja Theory is up to :P

That but also the fact that he keeps returning to the MGS series while claiming he's done with it :D
And that new IP which he was supposedly working on after Peace Walker.....I hope it didn't turn out to be MGS5 LOL.
We'll see at E3.

Would people be down for a Heavenly Sword 2? I thought most didn't like the first.

It was a very niche but it seems vocal audience who are not content with seeing it as a stand alone IP. Personally I think it's a waste of resources it was a very uninspiring experience that just felt like padding for the library instead of a fully flashed out title. If Sony wants to revive IP's there are far more deserving ones like Legend of Dragoon, Ghosthunter and Jumping Flash.

The experience they have gathered since the HS days in the action genre would make a night and day difference.
It's more a question if Sony is interested in investing in something they abandoned in first place. Which I doubt...so who knows...it might also be something new.

I do hope that Sony listened to one criticism from the PS Meeting, which was that people want to see games that don't immediately remind them of what was so popular this gen. This is a good chance for them to show a large amount of variety. I want the showing to represent what Yoshida said here

“It was pretty intentional,” he continued. “Mark’s idea was like ‘what about [a] Crash Bandicoot for PS4?’ when he suggested the concept of Knack. We were like yeah we hate to see all the PS4 games being FPS or action-adventure or very photorealistic, you know big-budget blockbuster games. And you know people like these games but these are not the only kinds of games that people can have fun with.”
