So because I've been out of the AC loop for quite some time, why exactly is City Folk looked down upon? I always assumed it was just Wild World with better online capabilities, but it seems like most were disappointed by it.

I'm not that disappointed we don't have a white XL in NA, but it would be cool if we had one that wasn't two tone with a brightly coloured shell.
Keep making notes to unlock stuff. You don't even have to send them (I think). You use playcoins to buy the extra stationary but with so many free ones you don't really need them.
I've got loads of old stationary I can send.

Will do! And yeah, unlocks are as BGBW said, based on the number of notes you've currently got in swapnote. Just making blank notes will solve it if you haven't unlocked it yet.
I sent him like... 30. But I'm missing a bunch so I could only send what I had. Most notably missing the Monster Hunter, Dragon Quest, and Culdcept ones.

Are you referring to plasti dip? I painted my friends car rims with it and it works great. I thought about using it on my XL but its the Pikachu LE.

I'm sure people will be adding and deleting people as necessary. I think people who are maxing their friend lists now might regret it later. Too many people to keep track of.

It's not that bad. Just add a good list now, see who you end up playing with, and when time comes that you need more spots, just cull your list of people whose names you end up not recognizing from not playing with, or people who never added you back.
Otherwise you'll end up like me feeling guilty about deleting people.
I'm in no rush to add AC friends, but I'd like to join in on the Swapnote festivities since I like the app.
30! I admire your patience. I was going to suggest break them into blocks of say 10 so individuals don't have to resend too many notes. I'm going to have to check myself to see if I'm missing any. Was certain I had them all since Roto13 is rather good at sending them out.

I felt the need to contribute something! I've received so many awesome doodles over the last few months but have zero artistic skill myself.
it's already in a way "pointless" to me since most of GAF users dont use the same username on their DS
having the gaf username as the message is fine but only shows up if you directly look at the friend list. When you've got 70+ friends it becomes a mess of linking names to usernames
I really dont have any notion of who anyone is, just a bunch of first names
so what im basically saying is you guys are the worst
Now you know my problem and why I suggest you make a spreadsheet noting down names so you do know who is who.
I'm basically going to be ruthless and wipe people I hardly see post on GAF. Yes, I do realise this discriminates against lurkers.

I just changed my Mii name to my name on here since I'd rather go by my alias than my real name for games anyway. I dunno why I used my name. lol.
So it'll be easier and people can't complain now. And now I can have my message freed up for whatever I want! Like "LEWD!" =D
EDIT: I think I have about 30 people added. I stopped somewhere. But then I was thinking I'll probably only get to play with people who are on when I'm awake soooo I dunno. I'll keep people though for Swapnotes cuz you don't need to be awake for that you can do that whenever lol.

Went ahead and changed my Mii's name to as close to my GAF name as possible and left my full GAF name in the message bubble. I agree though it was kinda odd to use my real name for when playing online.
I ended up adding 70 people so there will hopefully always be someone online to play AC with when I'm on. This of course resulted in an incredibly daunting amount of swapnotes to view.

Yeah, I feel the same about filling my list with tons of people. I already have a good 50+ outside of GAF so I can't add everyone even if I wanted to. That being said: I did add myself to the spreadsheet for anyone who requests to add me (or I ask them), I'm just not blanket adding everyone on the list.

The stationary? Draw more notes (no need to send them) to unlock the extra built in one. The "DLC" stationary will be yours once someone sends it to you but you have to unlock the extras before you can use them.I just got like a thousand Swapnotes from you guys, haha. Never used it.
