Kaz's face always gets me. I can't stop watching it.

As soon as the hype train starts, all rationalism is thrown out of the window and we all lose our minds.

One of my favourite times of the year.

Seriously, if you can't manage to find the fun in all this with all of the different conference-GAFs leading up to E3, you really aren't living.

Oh cool its gonna be during the regular E3 Nintendo press Conf time
I'm ready to see the big guns
It said WiiU so I guess its all WiiU games :)

I don't know how some of you are setting up for disappointment. Nintendo would have to go out of its way to make this Direct a bad one.

I get to watch this Nintendo Direct, then go play the games.

LIVING THE DREAM.

MANNNNNNNNNNN

New Mario on Nintendo system, SHOCKING NEWS. Let's see Star Fox and FZero on Wii U for something actually exciting.

3D Mario games lately have been the best games in the industry. Meanwhile, Starfox is an outdated series with maybe one or two good games that have already been matched by similar shooters made even by Nintendo.

Hopefully GameTrailers will air it on their site along with the other E3 goodness (I don't mean air it exclusively, I mean air it along side the one on Nintendo's Ustream).

Well a number of sites already embed the current Nintendo Directs.

There's no reason why it shouldn't be in every sites E3 schedule...no logical reason anyway.

The games could look lackluster. There's no doubt that people are really looking for graphical showcases as well as game experiences that can stand with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Even the latter didn't impress that much when it came to visuals.

I'm worried about how these Directs are going to generate any atmosphere. I like Directs, they're great for addressing updates and revealing news on a regular basis.

But if the E3 edition is going to be like the others I'll enjoy the revelations but won't feel a buzz. I'll never forget hearing the gaps and applause from the crowd as Donkey Kong Country Returns was unveiled. Compare that to "and here is another new game *cuts to boxart on white background*"

I'm hoping they make the Direct grand; lots of movement rather than Iwata standing still and Reggie sitting behind a desk, screens for whoever is hosting to refer to rather than cutting from a pre-recording to an edited-in trailer, etc.

Actually, I don't even know if this Direct is streaming live from on-location or pre-recorded. I hope its live, I hope its flashy, because if Retro's new game is unveiled and it's Metroid Prime 4 I don't want the trailer surrounded either side by deathly silence but for the host in a room that looks either like an office or some sort of limbo.
Honestly, I'll take flat, lifeless, choreographed prerecorded directs over the flat, lifeless, choreographed stage shows, particularly from Microsoft. The lack of "atmosphere" is simply coming out and admitting it was never there in the first place. I don't want stupid stage shows for aesthetics, I want details on upcoming games and gamplay That is first and foremost to me, and atmosphere or not, this direct is gonna bring it!

Its not like they havent gone out of their way to make E3 bad before.

But anyway please sign me up for the hype train !

Wish Nintendo would give us a way to play the E3 games. It's some Microsoft-level UScentricness to not let us in the UK get a piece.

How much of the applause is ever real? Look at Microsoft's recent event, they had their own employees in the audience clapping. That kind of thing even happens at E3 according to some pressers. So how much of the hype is ever actually... hype?

It's all fluff and unnecessary. It's a facade. We're not going to miss anything by having it appear the same as Directs of the past.

This picture is amazing. Can we all go back to loving Reggie again please? Clean slate, benefit of doubt. I liked it when he was some sort of hero to everyone.

Does it really matter?

They will probably link to the stream like everyone else does for past Nintendo Direct streams.

I just realized that this gives Sony the last word at e3, interesting.

Edit:
They have to sell people on Wind Waker and any changes they make for the remake.
They have to do a demo on Wii fit U.
I really doubt a Zelda announcement.

I dont care about atmosphere, bring me the games. And it will probably be more than a regular direct, they will probably mix it up with an unspecified action figure skit and some other stuff.

Ehh I was hoping it would be the week before, but oh well.

I do hope they do a separate Direct for 3rd party stuff.
