Yeah I'm so glad I won't have to go through that, since I bought the 1.0 CE. I will buy the PS3 CE for the physical items. I'm so hyped for this it's unreal.

I get the free upgrade since I bought the original (and played like ten hours of it at most - but to be fair, I bought it after it was known to be shutting down to make way for ARR).
Still, the CE looks nice, but I hate it when they waste space on soundtrack CDs in CEs. It's always such a limitied disc that if I like the game's soundtrack enough I'll just buy the actual retail soundtrack making the CE version worthless anyway.

Well I think it's 12.99 for standard where you get 1 character per server or something. Unless you want to play different races, there is no real reason to have multiple characters, since even the mule system (extra characters for storage/selling) is built into the game now.
The way I think about it, is if I could pay $15 for a game to entertain me for 20-30 hours or more per month, it seems reasonable. $60 for 7-10 hour games are fairly common, so the hour per playtime is pretty good in an MMO.

By the time I quit XI, I think I had 4 copies of the game. MMOs get cheap really fast. If you have to repurchase it, I don't think it'll be that much. They make most of their money on the monthly fee obviously.

I bought the CE 1.0 at launch and played it a few hours then never touched the game again. The only time I re activated was last summer when they started that legacy stuff to give members a lifetime discount from $15 to $10.
What's on the Blu-Ray disc in the Japanese version. Honestly, that looks to me to be the only difference from the NA version (unless I'm missing something).

Because the discount could probably pay for itself with the people who are enticed by the deal and because.. well... I just generally like when things are cheaper. *shrug*
It's Digital River so its anyones guess, you could even be charged twice or sent 4 copies.

If a PS4 version releases after the PS4 launch, I hope I can play it on there for free for having it on the PS3 already. Unless the PS4 version is announced during E3 and I can pre-order the Collectors Edition for that.

I was able to get in the closed beta for this because of my FF13 key I'm guessing. Nothing about it really grabbed me, but at least it didn't try to be a WoW clone.
I think playing it on the PS3-4 would be way more enjoyable than the PC version, and I'm probably getting it just for that purpose.

That Ni No Kuni fiasco will keep me away unfortunately.
I'm looking forward to E3 for that also. If they announce it there, we might get by October.

Day 1 CE for me. I'm honestly very ecstatic about how this game is turning out; it's awesome that it finally seems to be turning around.
