Q: How lewd is this game?

Q: Is there a limit to how lewd I can be?

Q: What is lewd? Is it a way of life?

Haha... you know, I loaded up my AC:WW this afternoon and laughed at how foul mouthed all my villagers were. Elmer was still there and said "f*ck yo couch" when I talked to him. I might make myself more mindful of those things considering the StreetPass options. Not sure I wanna make it on the news when some kid shows their mom that I made Coco advertise her oral abilities.

I'm probably just being a bit paranoid, but wouldn't new players who've yet to join CrossingGAF feel a little outside on the whole lewd thing and take it completely the wrong way? It's already happening, and I wouldn't want anyone avoiding this place.

I have to agree with Flynn. We should probably have a disclaimer SOMEWHERE stating that the lewd thing is just an in-thread joke and not to be taken seriously.

Hey so, I'm working on a little FAQ section for the OT. Anyone have any suggestions for common questions/answers to include?
Q: What's the appeal?

(I have no answer)

Oh absolutely. Compared to the first game it's like going from Mario 64 to Galaxy.
I have NO IDEA why but I've been picking weeds in my Wild World town for the past 15 minutes or so. The speed of the game alone is going to be vastly better. How did I stand such a laggy game for a year plus?

I'm not sure exactly how that works.
Basically just talk to Isabelle a lot on the first day. She'll ask you to do some stuff and reward you with different fruit. Then, if you keep asking her about specific activities, she'll give you some tools. (Or sell them to you for cheap.) I think you can get a watering can and a fishing pole from her.

This only works on the first day though I believe.

Could have a sub |OT| for the lewd crowd.

lol but really if we play the lewd thing out too much it's not even gonna be funny anymore.

Maybe a question dedicated to watching where you step in-game would suffice?

I'll be honest with you guys, in my City Folk playthrough, I ran through flowers like nobodies business. I'll be good in New Leaf, though.

This is gonna be my first Animal Crossing all to myself. Me and my sister shared towns in the DS version and I didn't really play the GC and Wii versions much.

Gonna be fun with a town all to myself.

Will add you back when I get home.

Also, OT title: Lewd Lewd: Lewd Lewd |LD| Lewd Lewd, Lewd Lewd Lewd? Lewd!

Wow.

... yeah.

The OT needs a face guide.

Good idea!

Ah, gotcha.

How does online/friends work? Can you only interact with other people you've friended, or is there an open online mode?

Good idea! If you're also asking yourself, there is actually an open online mode in the form of Club Tortimer on the island.

I was thinking of a small online 'etiquette' section. Just the basics for those who are new. Don't chop down trees or take flowers, be careful where you run, etc.

I guess another question is "Can I have two towns on my game?"

I'd also add that only the first player that moves in gets to be mayor.

I have this near the top of the OT.

"Save Slots: 1 village, with 1 mayor and 3 additional players"

Honestly, it's really such a tiny joke in the grand scheme of things. A couple of us might crack it but when it comes to OT, we'll have so many new people coming in, it won't matter.

Yeah, that's a good one.

Q: Why are all these people yelling at me about not running in their towns?

A: Run buttons are awesome in most games, but if you're running through someone's Animal Crossing town, you might accidentally run through flowers and weaken or destroy them. Some people are very carefully placing their flowers so they can hybridize them to create rare ones, which means running through their town can be disastrous indeed. If you see petals fly when you're going through flower beds, stop and walk slowly!

(This assumes this all still works the same way in New Leaf.)

FWIW, even if the person wasn't hybridizing, flower counts affected perfect town stats too. So now you can feel extra-bad. ;)

I just answered all the questions like the nice boy I am. I've looked the same throughout all the games as a result!

So I'll be new to the game, hoping to convince my GF to be mayor (she loves harvest moon, so hoping she likes this). Anyone wanna trade codes with a newbie?

Pacific time if that matters (no idea how this game works).
