I wouldn't worry too much about Kojima.

Well thats good to hear. Still would not be shocked if he announced a kinect game or something. I would like to see Kojimas Kinect game.

So.... Do you think Sony has any western 3rd party megatons lined up? They seem to have Japan on lock but some big western exclusives are probably going to move the needle more.

Cant think of anyone Sony is super close with that would make logical sense so it would probably have to be something unexpected..... or Valve. Valve would make perfect sense but they probably dont have anything to announce but oh boy wouldnt that get a lot of people excited.

I do wonder. Has Namco Bandai ever been on an E3 stage conference? Not just a game but a rep with exclusive reveals.

Including a PSEye with a PS4 would mean that Sony wants to copy MS's idea of making the PS4 an all in one box

Sony is not copying MS.

Yoshida mentioned that Eye wont be mandatory for console to function, but I really think it will be sold with every box [its muuuuch more smaller than Kinect2, and doesent have expensive processing hardware inside of it].

After a montage they usually kick off the show with a big demo. Uncharted 2, 3 and KZ3 were all part of their opening demos. inFamous would fit since we've already seen KZ:SF in action. And i'm not sure that they'll roll out a previously unannounced game to be demoed. But you never know.

I am not sure they will show any PS4 demos before they show the console. They would want the console in the shot.

I'm going to they go with a cold opening, The Last Guardian, then they say hello, show a 'PlayStation family' montage, then the console.

I'm guessing a TLOU segment as the opening...few more PS3 bits...vita segment (HOPEFULLY a good one) then onto PS4..first the hardware reveal...games games games games features..price and release date...one game to end things

Since they actually have some meaningful vita news at this show I cant see them opening with the ps4 reveal. They probably have Jack Tretton doing the ps3/psv opening half hour before handing things over to House for the rest.

Is this a 2 hour show from sony or 90 minutes?

According to Kotaku US, 2 hours... Kotaku AU, 3 hours.

2 hours seems to be the duration other sites are giving too.

A 3 hour conference would be cool, but that can't be true.
I think it'll be 2 hours and I hope they won't use more than 30 minutes for vita, ps3 & other non-ps4-related stuff.

Apparently Vita will get a big push on E3, and PS3 has a long life ahead of it. 30 minutes for those 2 system is a minimum.

I wonder who pulls back the curtain and show the console.

Wonder if Kaz will take a back seat. You have to presume he will be there, but prob not on stage.

I think their conference could be two hours+ easily. Hell, they spent slightly over two hours when it was just a PS2/Vita/PS3 showing. Well, not so much for the Vita, but you get my point.

Good I would like some Vita love.

Keep your expectations low. We all wanted focus on Vita at last Sony E3 keynote, BUT THEY SHOWED NOTHING. Yoshida was in the first row of the keynote, and he tweeted that he was very disappointed and that Vita had 20 playable titles on E3 show floor that were not mentioned in keynote.

The PS Meeting had a great visual opening, if the same team who were behind that are doing the E3 presser we're in for a fucking rock show.

They'll definitely do a 'PS3 will have its best year yet' montage with footage of The Last of Us, Beyond, GT6 and perhaps Puppeteer.
Expecting to see a new Uncharted for Vita and perhaps an indie game montage.

I hope they have enough time to show some really good PS4 stuff. I'd love to see the new SSM IP and whatever Ready at Dawn is working on. Uncharted might be teased with a trailer and 'more to come at the VGA's'.

I'm confident it'll be Tretton. If not, Jim Ryan/Andrew House.

Kaz will be in the front row. He'll get a shout-out and will wave to the camera.

We already know that the console won't require an internet connection and that the Eye is entirely optional but I think they'll include it just to make it seem like they have feature parity with XBO.

Rumors have been saying 1GB RAM and GopherD heard less than 1 core from the CPU for the OS.

Used games is my only concern but I'm doubting it'll be something mandatory or even anything at a system level. Publishers will probably be free to do whatever they want with it.

awesome, in GopherD we trust :p

Is this something new? GG's postmortem said minimum of 6 cores available for games (so I guess things can only go up from there).

And can someone please link that m0dus' post you were talking about earlier?

MGS5 is a multi platform title but I just have this gut feeling that there is going to be a next gen version of it...and a part of me thinks that its going to be a timed PS4 exclusive. I just dont see XBO getting any MGS exclusives.

Now if Kojima has another game to show, that might be some kind of exclusive but I still have a hard time imagining it when you consider where the majority of his fan base is...On Sony consoles.

I wouldn't worry about kojima/mgs going xbone exclusive. Konami probably cannot afford to take the chance. Unless the paycheck from ms can cover the cost of losing core fans and developing the fox engine.

Well then. Someone Kazify my avatar please. I'll take a seat in the hype train.

I think they're goal is to get up to 7 cores for games by the time the final dev kits are out.
GopherD was talking about the final goals and it was a bit after the PS Meeting.

No way MGS goes exclusive to XBO at all. Rising didn't even release on 360 in Japan. Kojima seems relatively committed to multiplatform development now, which is probably why they showcased him in the highlight reel, just like Bungie was at the PS conference.

kojima is basically all konami have these days. i'd be stunned if they're going exclusive with something from him on a system that's going to be dead in japan. unless microsoft pays them a huge huge amount, and it's probably not worth it for them compared to other investments.

2012 press was 2 and 10 minutes so you never know. I hope it's 3hr and just PS4....mmm

Kaz holding a little note "Hi NeoGAF :)"

Immediate 504 page error up in this.

Imagine if he blinked and one eyelid said "NEO" and the other said "GAF..."?

504 or a TOTAL SERVER MELTDOWN!

Then NEOGAF 2.0 would rise from its own ashes glowing and gleaming: a ray of hope in this god-forsaken time!

IOW: It would be EPIC! :P
