It's on at 3am where I am, no way I'm going to watch it live. I stayed up to watch the PS4 reveal and it's too tiring going into work the next day.

I assume a video of the whole thing will be available after the event?

Usually takes a few hours but yeah they'll put up the conference after it's done.

For me following the conference itself live isn't the fun part, what's fun is following it live with Gaf. :p 3am here as well and I'm gonna put the alarm on so I can get up and watch it.

No doubt there will be an archived vid somewhere.

People really have high expectations regarding what 1st party titles they will show. But I really doubt that we will be seeing that much new games. They will most likely focus on games that will be at launch or close to launch (Knack, Infamous, Drive Club, minus Kilzone, because it was shown in detail at the meeting), and at most we will see 2 new games shown and some indie title.

BTW, what Sony E3 had the most official announcements of new 1st party games and what number count was it?

I would be very happy if they did gameplay demos of Knack, Infamous, and Drive Club and then showed an Indie game and then third party games.

This would be a foolish strategy, and if they want proof of that then they can take a look at the Wii U. People don't just want to see what they're going to be able to buy at launch (or launch window), they want to know what they have to look forward to in the future.

And retreading what we already saw at the PS Meeting would likely disappoint many people. Especially with this being a new console that isn't even on the market. While the Xbox One reveal was disappointing, it's obvious that they're going to have a lot of games that we haven't seen before at their conference. If Sony's just showing off a bunch of games that we saw months ago, then they're going to get drowned out.

I can't wait to see what Sony Santa Monica and Ready at Dawn have been working on. I would love to see Uncharted 4, but that's probably going to be revealed at the VGAs on Spike TV. I definitely want to also see downloadable games as well, especially the successor to Super Stardust. Tbh, though, Sony showing off Versus and TLG would be all that I would need.

I don't know, hasn't a person been saying that this E3 would be an E3 to remember? I'm on mobile, so I can't grab the particular post, but I remember reading that there will likely be betrayals. Sony was also said to be more focused than they ever were before. I might have even read that there might be as much Vita or PlayStation 3 footage because there's so much PlayStation 4 to show.

I think being hyped beyond belief is actually somewhat reasonable. Sony has not made any mistakes yet. I think their success at the presentation will hinge on whether or not they will adopt the same practices at Microsoft. I am confident new games will be there, and even if there weren't, I think actual gameplay footage of revealed games will still gain a lot of coverage. Sony has the most momentum going in.

This is what I am worried about. Sony has been in too much good news lately and I hope they don't get arrogant and ruin their E3 presence. I know MS will come out guns blazing due to all negative news following the X1 reveal. I hope Sony sees it that way too and are ready with their big guns for PS4 too.

Showing TLG and giving a release date near launch would be a complete fatality.

Sony knows, they KNOW it. If they could do it, or even though they could do it, they would.
That said I don't expect to see it at all.

Nothing to worry about, they seem top learn a lot from this current gen. Sony always shows whats in store for the future and not just later that year.

I don't know why everyone is expecting bad news from Sony just because we haven't heard anything worth pitchforking over yet.

Just because someone gives you a pretty looking cake, doesn't mean it's filled with crude oil.

the thing is, the PS4 can't be all positive. there gotta be something that is anti-consumer. We are expecting that "thing" at E3.

The nerves are kicking in hey. We're close now.

Whether good or bad, it is going to be spectacular that's for sure.

I bet they will save something for gamescom and TGS too, but they will have much stuff at E3. Just so many studios who are working on PS4 games we are bound to see some of them:

-Naughty Dog #2 team
-Santa Monica #2 team
-Bend
-London
-Quantic Dream #2 team (tech demo?)
-Ready at Dawn
-Media Molecule
-Guerilla #2 team
-TLG
-Final Fantasy
-Agent
-Destiny Gameplay reveal (confirmed)

We will see stuff from some of them.

As long as the PS4 don't require an always-online internet connection I'm happy. I never buy used games so that doesn't really affect me, but I respect that it does affect others so I do hope (and expect) that Sony won't have anything in the way of anti-used games.

I'm just saying that MS is obviously going to have a lot of new things to show because they barely showed anything at their unveiling. Sony on the other hand showed quite a bit at the PS Meeting. Like i said, the console is unreleased, so there's little excuse on Sony's part to not have a wealth of titles to show off at this event. They're going to have to match those new announcements that we'll see from the MS conference. Sony showing new trailers/demos for PS Meeting games aren't going to be grabbing many headlines compared to newly announced games.

this has got to be the dumbest line of thinking I have ever seen in these recent weeks, who the fuck is "we". Where is it written that they HAVE to do something anti consumer......really, I want to see that memo, because these buzz kill post are getting extremely annoying.

I think the Xbox One conference is reminding us otherwise. As a consumer, I hope not.
? I don't get that at all. I don't think anything one console does determines the other. If anything, the horrible negativity from the XBone would make them rethink similar plans. Sure if MS does it, they COULD get away with it even if that's true Sony isn't going to spoil the momentum they have with publicly revealing that crap at a huge show.

*nods*

Basically, Larry Hryb and Phil Harrison can't get their story straight so somehow this is reflecting back on Sony who MUST be planning something devious on their own.

I hope the one thing Sony learns is that regardless of what they decide to do, be VERY SPECIFIC. Clear message, clear explanation, and clear details.

Microsoft is going to have plenty of shit to show. They'll trot out Cliffy B from Epic because he's vehemently anti-Sony for some reason. Then they're going to show Respawn's game and whatever Black Tusk is working on. I think they may have partnered with Insomniac as well, but good riddance. And probably more Calla Doody.

cliffy b took a break from games,i don't see him there. Insomniac won't be there either, they went multiplat for a reason.cod demo is guaranteed though.

Cliffy isn't even at Epic any more.
