Yeah, I only know one guy with a 3DS IRL and I have no idea whether he's getting this game, so I should really use my online name.

Far cry from Wild World, where I played a bunch of local multiplayer. Sign of the times!

I'll try my bestest to visit as many towns as I can. Hopefully my town will be worth it for some to visit. I don't know yet if I'll be very involved with flowers as some people plan to be, but we'll see.

Oh I definitely am. A GAF poster was in the Luigi's Mansion 2 OT complaining that his (older) sister was going to play LM2 on HIS 3DS before him. I felt pain and anguish on his behalf.

With my one brother though, he has aspergers though, so he liked the town to be absolutely perfectly ordered and refused to let me start a new save file or anything like that. And the other brother was ridiculously destructive and careless, being like what, 6 at the time? So it wasn't a good mix.

You can only allow one person into your town at the same time, I assume.

I believe you can have 3 friends over. 3 'people' when you're playing local wi-fi.

They can't come in until you "invite" them correct?

People on your friendslist can come over as soon as you open the gate. You can, however, pick the option to only allow 'best friends' in your town.

I assume you talk to the guard to let this player through. And there's a delay where the visiting player get notification that he/she gets a pass into the town and goes there. Then on your game, you get notice that the visiting player had arrived.

Nope. You just talk to the monkey at the train station to let him open the gates. As soon as you open it, people on your friendslist are free to enter whenever they like (see above). For the people who are visiting; you talk to the monkey and you see a list of towns that have their gates open for visitors. There's not accept or decline process or anything like that. However, when someone decides to trash your town or whatever, you can just flick the wi-fi switch and it'll revert to the save you automatically made before you opened the gates.

Geez man, that's harsh as fuck. Countless Melee matches with DK ended in us doing the suicide grab, and it was always funny as fuck. I remember Dedede being similarly funny.

Reason #1: I'm a massive Doctor Who nerd so Patrick Troughton
Reason #2: The word suffix Ton is often used on town names
Reason #3: Trough? Animals? Geddit?
Reason #4: It's pronounced TROUT-un. Animals? Geddit?

Boom! Happy with that.
