This thread has gotten about 4K posts over the 3 day weekend. If it picks up a bit more steam it is feasibly possible for it to max out by then.

Okay I've decided. I'm gonna name my town Figaro (FFVI!), and my character the same as my Gaf name. I'm bad at naming things (hell, my cat is named Kitty lol).

It's had trademarks filed in both US and Europe...so maybe it'll be released...
It also did surprisingly well in Japan, so that gives hope. They're probably waiting for Animal Crossing to die down a bit before giving an announcement.
I so want to play it, as well as Rune Factory 4, which hasn't even been announced for Europe. I'm so jealous. :/
I'm not settled on a town "theme" yet.. but I definitely don't want it to look like a desert. Hehe..But it's so lazy, haha..
I was thinking about Narshe and Ivalice too.
I wish there were more letters/space available. There's a lot of decent town names.
