LOL, nope. It'd arrive but it'd sit in transit or something. This is why people say they get their shit on Tuesdays from Amazon and the like.
We're just smart enough to get ours from a brick mortar store... as MUCH as we hate GameStop, we still prefer to get our shit day 1.

What I hate is when you have a retailer advertise that it'll be in stores on Tuesday when you KNOW it was released on Sunday but they refuse to sell it to you... because it's in the paper for Tuesday and YOU'RE the dumb one for suggesting otherwise.
I've wanted to punch cocky retail employees for that shit. Yes, hold back some copies because you have an ad but don't argue with me like I don't know what I'm talking about.

Yeah. Sometimes you can get lucky and get a dumb employee who didn't notice the "hold street date" and sell it you early. :3
We tried a few times with this method... xD
Maybe they just hate me or something, my first two orders from them as well.

Idk about in your areas but over here most of the retailers have it programmed into their Point of Sale systems to bar the sale until they "release" it. So that method doesn't work, at least for me

I've only tried to do that when I know street date has been broken. Otherwise I don't try to get anyone in trouble. I've worked retail in games. I just always knew more than my customers, generally - and I still tend to know more than most of the retail employees I've encountered when it comes to games.

Both issues were sorted but it was a lot of effort.
The first game I got had an invalid online pass, and I had to deal with EA customer support for that one, their support isn't so good.
The other game never turned up, that wasn't so bad to deal with but it was still pretty annoying.
Although I think that was a postage error or something.

Not to be mean or anything, but I think you guys are overreacting a little with getting the game late. I mean, most of you have been waiting for it for nearly two years, so what are 2-3 days compared to that? Sure it's tempting to get your hand early on on the game, but it won't really matter in a couple of weeks who got the game first. In fact, the sensation of getting a game will be only higher if it will be delayed for a day or two.

Sure it's tempting to get your hand early on on the game, but it won't really matter in a couple of weeks who got the game first. In fact, the sensation of getting a game will be only higher if it will be delayed for a day or two.
It's less overreacting and more excitement that it's getting so close.
Yeah but I dunno, it's just that every time I order from Amazon nothing ever goes wrong so I just stick with them.
It has been a while since I used them, but it's sort of hard to find a reason to not just use amazon.

It's Shopto lol, it's just the linking of said site via GAF that is banned XD, it was banned due to a while back they had a credit card breach and didn't warn customers IIRC. They've since improved security a lot but is still banned XD

I don't mind waiting a few days for the game to arrive, but gawd the Fire Emblem Awakening release was a PITA to wait for Amazon to deliver.
Then again that would be attributed to Nintendo's lack of delivering enough copies.

Nope, I am from Latvia (Northern Europe), a country where 3DS is "wtf is this piece of futuristic machinery", so I am getting Animal Crossing probably a week later than it's release, since it will take a while for games.co.uk to get it to me.
