I have to ask, have you ever used the gamepad? it has all the buttons the pro controller has and really great ergonomics. Also the weight isn't really high (I would say a bit heavier than a 360 pad). Only the batterie life is a bit low
I'v spent some time with it in Demo form, and one of my friends at a local store has one, and I used it for Assassins creed. I dislike the buttons on the trigger set up mainly, the face buttons I don't have a problem with. But I also don't like it because I have small hands and how far apart the sticks are.
I am used to xbox 360, and PS3. But I loved the shape and form of the gamecube controller. Which the pro controller reminds me of in set up form.
I was on Nintendo's site looking and couldn't seem to find an answer. I didn't know if Nintendo updated the System so that you can use the pro controller for every game or just certain ones.
To me for plat former's and adventure games a full face button controller is king. For an RPG where your constantly going through your inventory, checking character stats it makes sense. If your not scanning characters in rayman:legends, then there's no need for the tablet.
Yea, call me old fashioned, I just don't understand that draw of the system, to me it's what's killing it. If tablet play was so important starcraft, and RTS players would have jumped on board years ago.
I think that's Nintendo's problem with the system, that and it's under powered, but they are good at taking advantage of their own hardware. I'm not concerned in that respect, I just want to be able to play the game, and not play it in a weird Wii wand, touch screen way. For games like Pikmin where your micromanaging your pikmin it makes sense, but for a beat'em up game, or fighting game it make no sense.
That's why I'm waiting for E3, and the Nintendo Direct, Hopefully they will show a trailer for Super Smash with people just using the Pro controller.
