I'm still undecided on getting the bundle or just a retail/digital copy.

I'm perfectly happy with my OG 3DS but that bundle is the closest thing I'll get to a pure white 3DS.

Help me decide !!

Get the bundle, it'll be the closest thing you'll get to a pure white 3DS.

After using an XL you will not be happy with the OG 3DS, trust me

AC bundle will be the closest we get to pure white, thank you NoA

Get the bundle and feel true happiness

How's the paint job coming along (if you started)?

I don't know yet. I just sprayed the red backs. I know it is supposed to look better dry, but seeing it on wet makes me paranoid.

Pics?

I am really interested in how the paint job turns out if you can't tell. :p
I've always wanted to do a paint job on my XL (for all black) but I am too afraid to mess up the system :(

I got you now, Flynn.

tch I'm too much of a wuss to paint my electronics. But when I get that poptart, I figure I should just dip my OG 3DS in a burning pot of tar.

Oh, I see.

Well, try not to worry anyway. Didn't you say that you can peel it off if it doesn't work out? So you can always go back! I think...

Ah, thank you! : )

Man, came home and I have 40 new Swap Notes. I was not prepared for this.

Does Swapnote have a limit as to how many messages you can have? Will it automatically delete the old ones, or does it just keep using memory?

I've never used Swapnote until a few days ago...haha.

At 3000, it starts deleting oldest first except favorites

The can says it should have a wet appearance, and once it dries it look matte and even.

How did you go about spraying the shoulder area? The shoulder buttons/charging ports would have me worried...

Unless you've just sprayed the coloured part of the back, then...nevermind. :P

Physical copy for me...although I contemplated digital...but I cannot spend that kind of dough on an eShop title given Nintendo's archaic DRM, as much as this game would be a perfect fit for the format.

Besides, $29.99 with free 3 day shipping from NewEgg back in April when they did that preorder sale. And I need three copies of it anyhow. That $89.99 was a bargain. :P

I take a break from the topic for a couple days and there are 50+ extra pages. Goddamn, guys! I see Sats is now a full Member now. Congrats, Sats!

Was looking up 3DS paint jobs out of curiosity and saw that someone on Reddit successfully painted his blue XL black:

Looks pretty identical to the real deal.

Oh, I didn't notice that. Congrats Sats!

Don't you need to be a member for like 3 months and to have 300 posts? If that's the case, then I'll be a member myself in like 2 and a 1/2 months. :P

There's some LTTP threads I'd like to make...

I remember in the Gamecube game there was an exploit to fill out your catalog really fast.

1) Fill your inventory with carpets, wallpapers and furniture.
2) Find a 'snooty' female villager who is whistling.
3) Talk to her until she exclaims she wants to trade non-stop (Keep saying 'No keep going!' when she asks if you want to stop.)
4) Leave the game on over night with some sort of auto-fire on the A button.
5) Check catalog!

I hope it's in this one too!

Has the lid fully dried? It's looking really good. I'm a little worried about those cameras though!

I doubt it is fully dried. It's only been...Maybe 25-30 minutes. It would be a good idea to just wait a couple hours instead of poking it to check.

Whatever happened to the idea of Nintendo releasing faceplates? Or did I imagine that? I would have loved to have a collection of faceplates to swap in/out. I'm too OCD to attempt a paint job.

Okay. It's looking really good, though, and you're pretty brave for doing this! I wouldn't even dare do the same to my Black/Blue 3DS. I've just decal'd it and I'm satisfied. :P

Okay, I've discovered a little obstacle. The top face part is looking great, but the button face part is dripping too much, and gets bubbles. The reason for this is because when you lay the 3DS out on the floor, the bottom face is slanted.

I'll have to repaint the bottom at a better angle where the paint won't drip.

Just realized that simply closing the system would be the best angle. -facepalm-

Well...yeah... x)

S-so much balls... I'll just enjoy my black and blue 3DS. Because I'm an abuser like that.

Heh, I'm actually really happy with my Black/Blue 3DS XL, though I would throw it away easily for this:

I actually dislike transparent hardware, but it works so well for the XL...

Let me do it! I paint for a living lol!
